1937 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900A s/n 412004 was "born" in May 1937 with a racing body. Crashed 1938 and rebuilt to a cabriolet by Pinin Farina, first shown May 1939. Sold to Switzerland, where owner had Martin Walter add a roof. Sold to the Schlumpf collection in France, which became the Musée National de l'Automobile.

There was an earlier 8C 2900 with the same serial number, but it was rebuilt and restamped 412006
