English: Banksia prionotes, commonly known as Acorn Banksia or Orange Banksia, is a species of small tree or shrub in the genus Banksia (Proteaceae), native to deep sands of the Southwest Botanical Province of Western Australia. It has serrated, dull green leaves and large, bright flower spikes, initially white then opening to a bright orange. It is an important source of food for nectarivorous animals, especially honeyeaters (Meliphagidae); and a popular garden plant.
