Thanks for uploading File:Willy Fries (Zürich).JPG. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you.

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Willy Fries (Zürich) Schwingfest, 1918.JPG]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Pay attention to copyright
File:Fritz Boscovits Sektion Zürich Gesellschaft Schweizerischer Maler Bildhauer und Architekten 1917.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.

The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

Warning: Wikimedia Commons takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

Hello. If you have the permission of the legal successors of Fritz Boscovits, please send it following this procedure: COM:OTRS/de. When the permission is reviewed, the files will be restored. Best regards, BrightRaven (talk) 12:03, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that I do not speak German. If you have sent the permission following the procedure described in COM:OTRS/de, you should have included {{subst:OP}} on the file pages, so it would have been clear for every one that your OTRS ticket was under review. Please note that I am not part of the OTRS team, so I have no access to the OTRS tickets. We usually delete all the files when the copyright is obviously not owned by the uploader and when there is not indication of a permission by the copyright owner. It was the case here. Did you send the permission according to COM:OTRS/de? Have you received the confirmation from the OTRS team? Best regards, BrightRaven (talk) 13:25, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
One more thing: please do not send me the permission: please send the permission following this procedure: COM:OTRS/de. Thank you. BrightRaven (talk) 13:31, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Dear BrightRaven, excuse my eMail in German. Thank you for your explanation. I am in contact with the family Schmid, the heirs of the grandfather Fritz Boscovits. The young lady has managed to get the copyright forms signed by mother and aunt and has sent it to the MediaCommons. We shall repeat the sending following your instruction and hope that the pictures can be restored in the MediaCommons and in the German Wiki. Best regard, sincerely yours --MGBiblio (talk) 15:19, 4 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. No problem for your message in German. You wrote you have already sent the permission to Commons. How have you sent it? Have you sent it to permissions-commons-de@wikimedia.org or any other e-mail address? Best regards, BrightRaven (talk) 08:20, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the permission was sent by the Schmid family, heirs of Fritz Boscovits, so I shall find out, where they addressed the permission. I shall inform you, best regards, --MGBiblio (talk) 10:42, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello BrightRaven, here the information from the Schmid family: the young lady had contact about 28 of September with Daniel Baur c/o Permissions-German Wikipedia, and she sent the permission signed by her mother and her aunt (as pdf for each of the pictures) to the address: permissions-de@wikimedia.org, with the ticket number 2015092810007236. Is it possible that you may find the permission with the help of this information? It would be very fine if you could then restore the pictures in the media commons. From there I could insert them again in the wiki article about Fritz Boscovits. Many thanks for your help to restore them. Sincerely yours, --MGBiblio (talk) 19:59, 5 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello BrightRaven, could you please inform me, if you agree with the restoration of the 7 pictures by Fritz Boscovits? At 4 November You sent me the note "When the permission is reviewed, the files will be restored", and I sent you the indication, that the permission was sent by the Schmid family at 28 September (after correspondence with Daniel Baur, Permission-German Wikipedia), to permissions-de@wikimedia.org, with the ticket number 2015092810007236. Sincerely yours--MGBiblio (talk) 09:26, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Unfortunately, I am not part of the OTRS team, so I do not have access to the e-mails sent. You should contact the OTRS team here: Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard. Best regards, BrightRaven (talk) 08:29, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello BrightRaven, I am in contact with permissions-de@wikimedia.org. They have revised the signed permissions by the Schmid family and decided to restore the pictures. Thank you for your interest,--83.79.77.127 10:26, 27 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

MfG, MGBiblio--MGBiblio (talk) 15:22, 2 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

File:Ruth Steinegger (1917-2012), Kunstmalerin.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

JuTa 18:20, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
