File:PsychobuildingsPortrait.jpg[edit]

I was able to get in touch with the band and through them, the photographer who took this picture originally. She sent an email to the appropriate email address to allow the use of the image on Wikipedia Commons using the given email template. Now there is a message saying that there was no way to verify the sender of the email is indeed the copyright holder. Considering her email address has her name in it, what other ways are there to verify she is who she says she is? I can have the subject in the photo also send some kind of verification email. I believe the image only exists in two places on the web, the bands website and an article in Spin Magazine. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. @Ckr1981: The matter is still being hashed out via our email system. Please, have patience. Coffee // have a cup // 02:05, 20 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Coffee: Hi Coffee, I just wanted to follow up on the status of this and see if there is any action that I could help facilitate that could get this resolved. Is the issue that you are unable to verify the email came from a specific person or that you can't verify that person is indeed the copyright holder? I was under the impression having the persons name in their email address was sufficient in these circumstances for determining they are who they say they are. And the name of the original photographer of the image is credited on the bands website as well as on the Spin Magazine site where the image is published. Thanks for looking into this.--Ckr1981 (talk) 13:20, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot state details of confidential tickets here, but I will state there's more to this issue than the person's name being in an email. Please contact the photographer directly to see what is holding this up, if you want more information. Coffee // have a cup // 19:13, 27 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

OTRS Email[edit]

Hi dear Coffee, hope you're doing well. Last day I uploaded this file and i asked the photographer and the owner of the file to send and email to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org for granting the permission of using the photo under a free license based on Email Message Template which you can find here. But today I found out that you've put the template that say "The email was not sufficient as it does not contain an explicit release under a free license;". Would you please tell me what should he mention on his email which contains an explicit release under a free license? Thanks in advanceArashkardan (talk) 16:03, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Arashkardan: I have informed the photographer via email what the next steps need to be. Currently the photo contains a copyright watermark which cannot be utilized with such a license, as long as that can be fixed and we can verify who the photographer is we should be able to resolve this issue. The templates we have available to use for these situations are not very specific, so don't be too concerned about the exact wording of them. The main thing is that there are issues currently remaining that are preventing us from applying the license at this moment. Coffee // have a cup // 17:05, 5 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, thank you dear Coffee. I told him to check out the email you sent.Arashkardan (talk) 13:10, 8 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Discussion on the Ferrari Roma[edit]

Since you seem busy and haven't got around replying to my email. I made a talk page discussion on the image trying to explain why the image shouldn't be deleted and it has the uploaded with the proper permission. --Vauxford (talk) 22:32, 22 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unblock My English Wikipedia[edit]

Hi, this is Bull-Doser, and I would like to have my en:Wiki unblocked after nine years. I've been adding more photos of celebrities and other people and certain pages need photos of people I have uploaded. You remember blocking me nine years ago. -- Bull-Doser (talk) 01:43, 12 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
