Template talk:PD-TJ-exempt

I made Template:PD-TJ-exempt, because it's more suitable for Works that are not Objects of Copyright, also I made more accurate translation of exception from Law. I think name Template:PD-Tajikistan will be more suitable for another PD-works from Tajikistan. But now there are not another PD-works from TJ at Wikicommons, and I think redirect from PD-TJ to PD-TJ-exempt will be suitable (redirect from PD-TJ-exempt to PD-TJ is worse).

Moreover, this is the more complex problem, also there are template:PD-UA and template:PD-UA-exempt. I have the counsel about unification of all PD-exempt from ex-USSR countries, but it is demended of more time to realization. I'm against merging the templates from the former USSR countries since some countries (like the Baltic States) try very hard to forget that they were part of this entity, and these laws are all national laws. Each of these nations can change the respective law at will. But it would be a great idea to make the templates look more like each other, and to have them named more systematically. Since we have the same problem on the English Wikipedia, we should ideally rename the affected templates there as well to whatever naming system is chosen. Any old template names can be converted to redirects so we don't have to update a ton of links. I would personally perfer a naming format like {{PD-Estonia-exempt}} rather than the abbreviations. I'm not sure Romania and Moldova have well-known abbreviations. No-no-no. I don't try to merge this template with templates (tags) for other exUSSR-states. I just want to separate PD-old (PD-nameofcountries, PD - because old) and PD-official-symbol (PD-nameofcountries-exempt, PD - because official symbol).--Alex Spade 18:13, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
