Suggested copyedits to the text of this template (mostly punctuation, a few articles, and the words author and publish):

This Slovene work is in the public domain in its source country and the United States because its copyright expired pursuant to the Yugoslav Copyright Act of 1957 (Official Gazette of the SFRY, Nos. 36/57, 11/65), which provided for a copyright term of the life of the creator plus fifty years. This applies to works already in the public domain on or before 29 April 1995, when a new copyright act became valid, which is also before 1 January 1996, the URAA date. The work meets one of the following criteria:
a) It is a work of known origin and the creator died before January 1st, 1945
b) It is an anonymous work and it was made public before January 1st, 1945

Note that other works enter the public domain 70 years after the creator's death or 70 years after being made public if the work was made public anonymously. If this is the case, please use {{PD-old-70}}.

I've done some corrections, but have left author because this seems to be the word usually used in such texts (e.g. also in other license templates). --Eleassar (t/p) 14:43, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think it creates the risk of confusing contributors, because author/publish is primarily associated with text in English and one doesn't think of a statue, for example, as having an author or being published. Doremo (talk) 14:49, 30 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
