Comment Because this change will affect a whole category, I would wait a bit more for comments (if any). Regardless, any admin closing this request should take a look at Category:FOP-Singapore as well.. --whym (talk) 15:01, 26 December 2012 (UTC)
- The "whole category" contains presently 6 images with the template (and additionally 5 category pages). The category Category:FOP-Singapore is the only different category among 71 unified categories of Category:FOP by country. I doubt that such clear and banal rename request requires such hesitation. --ŠJů (talk) 23:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)
- As the creator of the template, I don't have any objection to the change if it is to bring it in line with the naming of equivalent templates. It looks like the parent categories "Category:FOP by country" and "Category:FOP" require renaming too. — Cheers, JackLee –talk– 16:35, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
- @ŠJů: To be precise, because this is a request effectively about renaming a category, I thought I respect the procedure of "Upon reaching a clear consensus <snip> (or after two weeks if there are no objections)". Having taken a look at Category:FOP I was not sure if the preference of "FoP" over "FOP" is as clear as you see. I would suggest having a discussion regarding all of FOP/FoP categories at Commons:Categories for discussion or somewhere appropriate and getting wider attention. That said, I'm not opposing to this, and other admins might be bolder than me and just go ahead. I'm striking through the "on hold" mark and re-label it as a comment to tell my intention straight. --whym (talk) 12:38, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
