Image deletion warning[edit]

Image:King bhumibol of thailand.jpg has been marked as a copyright violation. A derivative work of it, Image:King bhumibol-cropped.jpg, which you created, would likely have to be deleted too. -Paul_012 (talk) 21:08, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

In that case Image:Bhumibol-Sirkit-1.jpg and its derivative Image:Bhumibol-Sirkit-2.jpg should probably also go, as a copy of this. Is it possible that the Flickr uploader took the same shots, from the crowd? I've written to the user, asking for an explanation. Also, what is the copyright status of that archive? Is it possible that it's been placed in the public domain, like US government photos? -- Zsero (talk) 21:44, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It is likely impossible to capture exactly the same picture with the same angle from a different point. I have previously asked Boonkumnoun at Flickr whether the works were his (I was not aware of their appearance at the Royal Photo Archive at the time), but he unfortunately did not respond truthfully. The Thai text at the bottom of the archive page translates as "Digital photograph from the Bureau of the Royal Household. All rights reserved BE 2550 (2007 CE) according to the Copyright Act BE 2537 (1994 CE). Reproduction of information from the site without written permission is forbidden." A duplicate upload was also previously deleted (log). --Paul_012 (talk) 22:08, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Malachi photo[edit]

The photo was uploaded by a family member, but I think you are correct that PD-Israel would be more accurate. -- Avi (talk) 21:54, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Does the OTRS message give any details on when the card was issued (i.e. more than 50 years ago or less)? And do we know that teudat zehut photos are covered by the standard 50-year term for Israeli government works? -- Zsero (talk) 22:09, 13 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

License change[edit]

We have this template, {{Flickr-change-of-license}}, but for now, it's only for Flickr images. Okki (talk) 23:35, 27 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove Picasa review tags[edit]

Hi Zsero, I realize that some of your images are marked "change of license" but this must be verified (generally either through OTRS, or by agreement at deletion review). Please do not remove the "picasareview" tag from any images - it will be re-added automatically. Dcoetzee (talk) 06:16, 27 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
