File:Team-PopUpRainbow2014-in-MaMa.jpg has been marked as a possible copyright violation. Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content—that is, images and other media files that can be used by anyone, for any purpose. Traditional copyright law does not grant these freedoms, and unless noted otherwise, everything you find on the web is copyrighted and not permitted here. For details on what is acceptable, please read Commons:Licensing. You may also find Commons:Copyright rules useful, or you can ask questions about Commons policies at the Commons:Help desk. If you are the copyright holder and the creator of the file, please read Commons:But it's my own work! for tips on how to provide evidence of that.
The file you added may soon be deleted. If you have written permission from the copyright holder, please replace the copyvio tag with {{subst:OP}} and have them send us a free license release via COM:VRT. If you disagree that the file is a copyright violation for any other reason, please replace the copyvio tag with a regular deletion request.

- @1Veertje: Photo was picked from the website that is clearly marked: All content is under CC BY-NC-SA 4.0, unless specifically noted Zblace (talk) 08:36, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- an NC work can't be published on Wikimedia Commons. Vera (talk) 09:51, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- actually this particular photo is from Mi2-MaMa that uses old CC-by-SA 3.0 (check the ALT text of image) Zblace (talk) 10:00, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- wouldn't be able to check since you didn't give a source and claimed to be the author yourself. Vera (talk) 10:02, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- strange...as I am the author and it is written here https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Team-PopUpRainbow2014-in-MaMa.jpg&action=edit§ion=1 Zblace (talk) 10:19, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

I can't verify that you are the author based on your saying so. As it stands the file is identical to the one that was posted on the blog without attribution. Unless you can verify COM:OTRS with an @queersport.info e-mailaddress that this file has a free license it is indistinguishable from any other copyright violation. --Vera (talk) 10:43, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- this feels like such a messed up and unnecessarily complicated system. I am in the photo, made for my project, in space where I work on the website I run, published by me and this is still not enough...I am changing the website to CC-by-SA 3.0...this is crazy energy drain and disciplining over wrong things. Zblace (talk) 10:49, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- The integrity of Wikimedia Commons relies on us keeping out copyright violations. This means removing files people copy from old blog posts and claim as their own. As it stands you are expecting me to take your word for it that this is your website and that you took this picture. Your word isn't good enough. --Vera (talk) 10:56, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
- you can do a simple WhoIs query to DNS and get that this website domain is mine. You can also read the text and google and see more proof. I am not expecting you to 'trust' anything specific, but I am expecting you to not accuse me (or anyone else) and initiating policing actions and deletions before spending a minute on research. If you do not you are basically align with the oppressive (big and powerful) copyright promoters, rather than supporting community members who do voluntary work and give media for free. Thanks for uploading File:EspiTomičić holding-their-first-book Your Love is king-768x1024.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |

- by linking directly to the jpeg file and not referencing where the permission is given you make it impossible to check. Please adjust the file description. Vera (talk) 09:50, 6 July 2020 (UTC)
