Image:Second Severn Crossing pano 1.jpg[edit]

Hello Yummifruitbat. About the composition. You have made a panorama shot of the whole bridge. For me it would be more intersting to concentrate on an intersting detail of the bridge, that looks great in this atmosphere. But when you choose to make foto of the whole bridge, like you do, then I wouldnt have put the bridge in the middle oft the picture, because the picture is divided in two parts by that and so it looks rather boring. But thats just my opinion. Simonizer

Image deletion warning Image:Australian Infantry with Small Box Respirators Ypres 1917.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.

Thanks for the heads-up. It was an error on my part, I believed I had tagged it. Thanks for reminding me. --The.Q | Talk 13:21, 20 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Swift's Creek Cabal :-)[edit]

Hey, Benjamint444. Your Ensay misty photo made me take a second look because it seemed odd that this particular region of rural Australia would have produced two Wikipedia photographers, you and Fir0002. Then I remembered an interview on WikipediaWeekly where I think Fir mentions a brother. Is that you, or are you a friend/relation of Peter's? Just idle curiosity really, but it would make a bit more sense of things :-) --Yummifruitbat 20:14, 13 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, yes we're friends, we go to the same school. It was fir who first introduced me to wikipedia benjamint

lol, just saw this! Yeah we're just school mates --Fir0002 www 08:06, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Heheh, cool. You guys live in a much more photogenic place than I do! :-) --Yummifruitbat 12:32, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah I can imagine! But you've missed out on one more member of the "cabal"... ;-) --Fir0002 www 11:06, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulations! ++Lar: t/c 17:32, 26 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Inquiry of permission of re-using a figure in our book[edit]

Dear Yummifruitbat,

This is Dr. Jia He. I'm sending this message to inquire your permission of re-using one of your photos as Figure 1.5(a) in our forthcoming book. The photo is about power transmission tower, and the link to that photo is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pylon_ds.jpg

If you don't mind, could you please allow me to re-use this photo in our book of "Smart Civil Structures"? The source of this figure will be certainly cited in a proper way. Thanks very much for your kind help and support. Look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes, — Preceding unsigned comment was added by 158.132.127.192 (talk) 12:39, 29 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
