Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Me verificar pra que?

Como pode haver uso ilícito aqui no Commons que justifique uma verificação contra mim? Essa eu não entendi. Leandro Rocha (talk) 22:37, 26 December 2011 (UTC)

Pois não há problema nenhum aqui, pois a única coisa que faço aqui são postagens de fotos e categorizações, raramente participo de discussões de eliminação como fazia na Wikipedia (até pq não há notoriedade de fotos).

Não me julgue sem saber o que eu fiz de verdade, posso ter errado em ter votado com mais de uma conta, mas meu bloqueio foi injusto pois a política de bloqueio atual prevê que bloqueios por sock puppet devem ser punidos com filtros (ficar impedido de editar apenas nos domínios de discussão), não com bloqueios totais. Nunca vandalizei um artigo, nunca retirei informação válida (ao contrário do administrador, como você pôde perceber). E ainda ensinei novatos como vc a editarem. Por favor responde a última pergunta. Outra coisa, você demonstrou que existem três empresas com o nome de Vera Cruz. Mas como saber qual é qual, para categorizar na categoria correta? Faltam fotos para 33 empresas de ônibus do Grande Rio, sem contar as da cidade do Rio, onde falta uma meia dúzia. Também faltam categorias para umas 14 estações de trem, sobre as quais não tem fotos disponíveis. Leandro Rocha (talk) 19:36, 29 December 2011 (UTC)

Your VFC installation method is deprecated

Hello Wsdantas, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences.
