File:The Salute.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Woodag,
Regarding the above picture: it is best that you send an explicit permission of the image and your role as an executor of Horsley's estate to VRT:
  1. Use Commons:Wikimedia VRT release generator to create permission.
  2. Send the permission to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org.
Additionally you have currently marked the painting as your own, personal work from 2020 when it is actually an earlier work by Rupert Horsley (your late father, I presume). This should be fixed. I am copying this message also the deletion discussion. MKFI (talk) 15:24, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have now sent the permission as requested, however, I am afraid I cannot see how to change the attribution or the date of the image. I am guessing that 2020 is when I took the photo. My apologies... Woodag (talk) 16:48, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Woodag, I have change the image to use {{Artwork}} information template. MKFI (talk) 21:17, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks Woodag (talk) 21:43, 18 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
