Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Please give images better names

I noticed you've uploaded File:148 JSC2007e045385.jpg and I thought I should draw your attention to a common error. Please give uploaded files meaningful names. Otherwise they are difficult to track and it is hard to tell what the file is about without actually looking at it. I suggest you rename your image with an intuitive name that describes the file itself. Thanks, and happy editing!

Hi @Seawolf35,

I certainly will do! I find it's easier to upload all the files from one directory with their original filenames and then change them once they're in place. That means I can tag them with common metadata as a 'batch process' rather than have to enter it repeatedly file by file.

Of course, I have to have the discipline to go back and do those renames, but I'm reaching a point in the process I'm following where that's the next logical step after the creation of the current article!
