Unblock request declined

This blocked user asked to be unblocked, but one or more administrators has reviewed and declined this request. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked. Other administrators can also review this block, but should not override the decision without discussion.

Request reason: "Could you please lift my block? I know I was wrong by using the Wikimedia software to resize images. I resized them for the station identification pages on the Dutch Beeld en Geluid wiki. But now I understand it was wrong because I've uploaded copyrighted screenshots and it unnecessary work for others. So I promise I will never do it again, no more screenshots. My block ID is #26272. 83.82.233.225 21:20, 19 August 2009 (UTC)"[reply]
Decline reason: "Your last chance was given to you on December 3rd, 2006, when your first long-term block was lifted. It was pretty clear then that you would have no more chance. Since then, I count about 15 copyright violations (this is not one or two mistake, this is deliberate contempt for the law and the project policies), and more recently those multiple abuses of the Foundation servers (involving other copyright violations). After being told to stop, you did it again. With all these efforts, you have now proved beyond doubt that you have absolutely no interest in respecting either copyright law or the Commons guidelines, and that your promises to comply are void and shouldn't be considered seriously. You have been banned from the community, for sound reasons. I now protect this talk page against further modifications. --Eusebius (talk) 11:16, 20 August 2009 (UTC)"[reply]

File:Politieke_Partijen_NL3.PNG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

If you ever to come back[edit]

IMO your conduct on Commons shows rather complete lack of understanding how everything is working here than a bad faith. So here's my advise to you. If you ever allowed to go back to Commons please follow those rules:

  1. Never ever create another account
  2. Upload only the images that you took (not scanned) yourself, and that are not screen shots, not shots from books, newspapers and so on. It will be better, if for some time you upload only images of nature that you took in a real life.
  3. Do not do anything else before you ask at least for some time.

If you are not sure in something, please ask first. Here are many people, who will help you, if you ask for help. --Mbz1 (talk) 15:48, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your advice, but first my account has to be unblocked. 94.209.17.22 06:19, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Trojan!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.
