File:GEOS 128 Version 2.0 German.png has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Nominations for deletion; Plus, New version of your image at File:TI-99-4 homecomputer (adjusted version).jpg[edit]

Hi there,

Sorry that I nominated some of your images for deletion. It's nothing personal, but I'm not sure if those images are usable under a free license as Commons requires. You can contribute to the discussion via the links above.

I've also uploaded a new version of your image File:TI-99-4 homecomputer.jpg. The new version is under the filename File:TI-99-4 homecomputer (adjusted version).jpg.

Ich habe auch eine neue Version des Bildes hochgeladen File:TI-99-4 homecomputer.jpg. Die neue Version ist unter dem Dateinamen File:TI-99-4 homecomputer (adjusted version).jpg.")

Hi,

I notice you cropped File:Cbm-8032-anlage.jpg. I've reverted that version to the original and re-uploaded your cropped version to File:Cbm-8032-anlage-crop.jpg.

I did this because the original upload contained useful detail (peripherals) that was lost when you overwrote it. Also, one use on German Wikipedia referred to the peripherals.

It's generally okay to crop images if the lost detail is irrelevant (e.g. empty background, clutter). But if the lost detail is useful, please upload the cropped version under a new filename as a derivative work. Thanks!
