Suwałki gap NATO CSTO[edit]

Hello! A big request to expand the map to the borders of Armenia and Kazakhstan (members of the CSTO). Рагин1987 (talk) 14:48, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Well, you can obviously colour AM and KZ if they are visible on the map and aren't coloured yet, but that's not the point of the map. The main powers here are Russia-Belarus and NATO and that's basically all that matters for the purpose of that topic. Szmenderowiecki (talk) 14:59, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
They are already colored in the source file. It's just that, in my opinion, including these two countries (which are also partly European) would make the map more complete and informative. --Рагин1987 (talk) 15:03, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think it's necessary, though you can stretch it a bit to the east to show these countries as well. It's that the purpose is different. We don't show US or Canada as part of NATO as this would make this map basically useless for seeing why do NATO planners consider Suwałki a choke point for Central-Eastern Europe. Szmenderowiecki (talk) 15:10, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Armenia and Kazakhstan are sometimes also included in definitions of the Eastern European region. I already uploaded an extended version of the map, but an outsider rolled back the whole thing. With your hands it would be more reliable, but I understand your opinion. Thank you very much for your reply. --Рагин1987 (talk) 15:34, 20 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
