Gallery page[edit]
Hi, you've uploaded some great pictures! It's usual to set up galleries as a subpage of one's user page, so they're not in the regular namespace - when I saw Sherlock I thought maybe it was pictures of the great detective. :-) See User:Stan Shebs/Gallery/Places etc for example of how I've organized mine. Dear sir/madam, the image on display does not correspond with the caption you wrote. Since this includes also the uploader name, I suppose this happened because someone else uploaded a picture with the same name as yours, thus overwriting it. This is the reason I am captionin with "rename" the others pivtures of your whose title is but a number: they risk the same fate. Please reupload the picture of yours that was accidentaly deleted under another title, and please change the name of the other pictures of yours that only have a number as a title. Thank you. --User:G.dallorto 15:05, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
We have the same problem also with:
Image deletion warning | Image:Rolf_Schnitzmeier.JPG has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry. If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file. |

Dear sir, this image of yours was owerwritten too. I urge you to rename your images, unless you want them all to undergo soon or late the same fate. If you can, please re-upload your image. Thank you. --User:G.dallorto 15:25, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
Your account will be renamed[edit]
Hello,
The developer team at Wikimedia is making some changes to how accounts work, as part of our on-going efforts to provide new and better tools for our users like cross-wiki notifications. These changes will mean you have the same account name everywhere. This will let us give you new features that will help you edit and discuss better, and allow more flexible user permissions for tools. One of the side-effects of this is that user accounts will now have to be unique across all 900 Wikimedia wikis. See the announcement for more information.
Unfortunately, your account clashes with another account also called Sherlock. To make sure that both of you can use all Wikimedia projects in future, we have reserved the name Sherlock~commonswiki that only you will have. If you like it, you don't have to do anything. If you do not like it, you can pick out a different name.
Your account will still work as before, and you will be credited for all your edits made so far, but you will have to use the new account name when you log in.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yours,
Keegan Peterzell
