Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Watermarks in your photos

Hello Shahram Sharifi,

please stop using watermarks in the photos you upload to Commons. This is against Commons policy, and it makes re-using your (otherwise valuable) work much harder. Thanks, Ariadacapo (talk) 20:23, 27 February 2013 (UTC)

First of all, I want to thank you for your valuable contributions of files hard ti find elsewere. But, please do nott watermarks. I am investing valuable work time to remove all this watermarks from the pictures. Else, I could use this time for other purposes. Watermarks have no positive use, but pictures with them will be fixed, users will tend to use other pictures without watermarks if there are other pictures. The credits are given on the pictures description page, not in for m of watermarks. Thx for many mor uploads without them... Andy king50 (talk) 17:00, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Dorood Shary,

You may remember me, I contacted you a couple of years ago, and you kindly gave me permission to use your photos from airliners.net here on Commons. I remember our email correspondence, and you mentioned that you were unable to access Commons. But today I have just found out that you are now able to access Commons, and you have uploaded quite a few photos to Commons yourself. Thank you very much for the uploaded photos, my friend, we really do appreciate them. I have always admired your photography, and love that you are bringing Iranian aviation to us here on Commons. The message above that was left for you in February, please let me apologise if the message seemed abrupt, as I see you have not edited Commons since that message was left -- please know we are a friendly group of people (as the editor above is also), but if you can please continue to upload more photos in the future I know that I, and all of Commons, would appreciate it. The issue that the editor mentioned in relation to the watermarks is something we do discourage -- perhaps you can place your name, etc in the EXIF data of the images, so that you can continue to track usage of those photos.
