User:Geo Swan[edit]

Apologies for leaving this here, but since I am blocked on Wikipedia, I can't reply directly to Geo Swan's accusation there. Geo Swan is barely able to edit articles about boats without making mistakes and should have been blocked from editing any BLPs years ago. Based on what I've seen, he has at least one wikistalker, but takes any revert by an IP to be evidence of harassment and justification for edit warring. I have absolutely no idea why Geo Swan would assume that I had anything to do with this ANI comment. That wasn't me. Feel free to ask a Commons checkuser to confirm. There should be no reason to delete the logo. It is not in violation of any copyright. I am the original designer of the logo, and it was gifted to the borough for the borough's use. I would like to request that it be put back as it is the official town seal.

What was the reason for you to block the account of Teak11? You’re completely misinformed on the topic I’ve been trying to create a Wiki page for. The block is unfair and unreasonable. I do not know where or how you tried to do that, but you have never placed an unblock template on your English Wikipedia talk page. While it is true that I can remove the block, any other admin who reviews your request also could do so. Please handle your appeal there, not on Commons. Hey! I see that you have marked my image as copyrighted and as the owner being balkancar.org. I am the owner of this image and I am able to use this. WikiFan202, please see Commons:Licensing. Wikimedia Commons accepts only media which is licensed under a free license, such as the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike, which permits anyone to reuse the image for any purpose. KaderRocket, the issue is not whether you made the changes. Rather, the issue is one of being a derivative work of Super Mario Brothers. When you license an image here under the CC-BY-SA license, you are telling reusers that they may modify and reuse the material in any way they like, including commercial and for-profit purposes. Since you do not, presumably, own the rights to the Super Mario Brothers franchise, you do not have the authority to grant people such rights. And unless you had their permission to make the modified graphics package, the derivative is itself a copyright infringement, which certainly cannot be hosted here.
