Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Da ist er wieder mein alter Hundi File:Hundi, Yorkshire Terrier groß.jpg. Wir haben ihn zusammen fotografiert, wir wissen nicht, wer von beiden auf den Auslöser der Kamera gedrückt hat. Mein Freund von damals, mit dem ich den alten Hundi gemeinsam hatte, hat ihn wieder hochgeladen, aber diesmal das von mir geputzte Bild ohne Vogelkacke auf der Bank. I have redrawn the picture on the basis of this template. [1]. We had to make some changes in the labeling on the basis of the acutal literature sources. The image-source you mention is among the sources I put in the list, because the Robert Koch Institut seems to be the copyright holder of the original. My image is a redrawing. Wolf picture[edit]

What you did to File:Kolmården Wolf.jpg was completely unhelpful. Change it back please. LittleJerry (talk) 16:36, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The picture is in many Taxobox photos. The taxobox is on the right side. It looks better if the wolf walks into the article page instead of out. If you have a problem with the mirror image, I reset the image to the previous version and make an own new upload with a different image name, then both versions are available. The wolf was not photographed that way and you did not get a consensus. You could have went to the talk pages and suggested new images for the taxbox but instead you when ahead with this uneeded edit. LittleJerry (talk) 00:09, 8 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I suggested this version on the German talk page and got consenus. I can't go to the talk pages of all articles in which the foto is used in so many different languages. You don't know fur sure if the photographer turned the image round before the upload. If something is not helpful for you it might be helpful for someone else. However, I made a new upload with a better name, because Kolmården is not part of the wolf's name but the place the photo was taken. Now we have both versions available. Hi, I'm a vet tech student from Canada and I am creating a basic website on the Manx cat breed as a project for one of my courses. I just want to make sure I have permission to use the image and I would like to have all of the proper citation info if I am allowed to use it.

Man kann die Tatsache, dass die Erde eine Kugel ist, auch auf korrekte Weise beweisen. Man muss dazu nicht am Bodensee Leute in ihrem Urlaub fotographieren, ohne dass sie gefragt wurden, ob sie damit einverstanden sind, dass sie beim Baden halbnackt fotografiert werden, und damit dass das Foto im Internet veröffentlicht wird File:Erdkrümmung Bodensee IMGP3042.jpg.

Es ist ganz normal, dass niedrigere Gegenstände im Vordergrund höher erscheinen und höhere im Vergleich dazu niedriger, wenn sie weiter entfernt sind. File:Mountain panorama in France 3.jpg. Das ändert nichts an der Kugelgestalt der Erde File:ISS-40 Sicily and Italy.jpg. Das nächste Mal schreib mich bitte auf meiner Diskussionseite an, bevor Du so einen absurden Unsinn über mich verbreitetst, dass ich eine Flat-Eartherin wäre. Das war eine verheerende Denunziation. Ich bin Biologie- und Geografielehrerin fürs Gymnasium. Ich hatte in dem betreffenden Artikel das Wort Tele- übersehen, weil ich ein Problem mit meinen Augen habe. Jetzt ist es ausgeschrieben: Teleobjektiv! Es ist ja schön, dass Dir Dein Foto gelungen ist, aber die Tatsache der Erdkrümmung war vorher auch schon bekannt. Mit bloßem Auge vom Strand aus kann man es nicht sehen, weil die perspektivischen Effekte die tatsächliche Tieferlegung des Schiffsrumpfes optisch überlagern. Man braucht ein Teleobjektiv. Damit kann man es sehen, das sieht dann so aus Schiff verschwindet hinter dem Horizont.

Lange bevor es die ISS gab, hatten wir Fotos von der Erde, die vom Weltraum aus aufgenommen wurden. Mir "Flat-Earther-Propaganda zu unterstellen, so wie Du es getan hast, das schlägt dem Fass den Boden aus. Die Leute glaubten den Unfug, mit dem Du Dich erfolgreich in Szene gesetzt hast. Mir wurde das Sichterrecht entzogen und mein Ansehen in der Wikipedia leidet noch heute unter den Folgen der Verleumdung, weil viele nicht verstanden hatten, worum es eigentlich ging. Sie glaubten Deiner Behauptung und eine Welle der Empörung richtete sich gegen mich. Ich bin eine Gymnasialllehrerin, die in Biologie und Geographie Abiturprüfungen abgenommen hat. Ich war damals so geschockt über Dein Vorgehen, dass ich Dir nicht persönlich antworten wollte. Der Schaden, den Du meinem Account zugefügt hast, war enorm.

Du hast Dich noch nicht einmal dafür entschuldigt, nachdem ich den Abschnitt perspektivische Wahrnehmung im realen Raum geschrieben habe und dann geholfen habe, den Artikel Erdkrümmung zu verbessern. Es stimmt, dass ich zuvor nicht so hätte editieren dürfen, wie ich es getan habe, das war ein Fehler von mir, das ohne vorherige Klärung zu tun. Aber mich den Flat-Earthern zuzuordnen, das war eine schwere Diffamierung, für die gegen Dich eine Maßnahme hätte verhängt werden müssen. Mit dieser Rückmeldung ist die Sache für mich erledigt. Ich hoffe die Admins haben nun den damaligen Irrtum auf Seiten von Sitacuisses zur Kenntnis genommen.

Kann ich überholte Versionen von eigenen Bildern auch selbst löschen? Ich arbeite oft kleinschrittig, denke erst das Bild sei fertig, lade es hoch, erst wenn ich es hochgeladen habe, kann ich mich entspannen und dadurch sehe ich dann Sachen, die ich noch verbessern möchte. Wie ein Bild wirkt, sehe ich erst richtig, wenn ich es im Artikel eingefügt habe. Bei der Zeichnung, die gerade in Diskussion ist, würde ich selbst natürlich nichts entfernen. Aber bei älteren Grafiken von mir nehmen viele überholte Versionen Platz weg. Da würde es genügen, bei jeder die neueste zu behalten. Kann ich das machen oder können das nur die Admins? Könntest Du von meinen lange Bildfolgen unten welche wegnehmen? Mir ist meine kleinschrittige Arbeitsweise peinlich. Es ist bei mir so, dass ich über etwas besser nachdenken kann, wenn ich weiß, dass andere auch darauf schauen. Dann fällt mir ein, was sie sehen und fragen und sagen würden. Eigentlich müsste ich das auch so können, aber ich kann mich nicht entspannen, bevor ich ein Bild hochgeladen habe. Ich finde das so peinlich, wenn dann so viele Versionen untereinander sind. Das sieht aus, als ob ich ein Stotterer wäre. Das muss ja nicht jeder sehen. Meine Textbearbeitungen in den Artikeln sind auch oft furchtbar kleinschrittig. Darüber haben sich schon manche zu Recht beschwert, aber ich kann es nicht anders. Das Ergebnis wird dann schon gut. Die anderen haben sich inzwischen damit abgefunden, weil sie das gute Ergebnis sehen. Ich wäre bei vielen Bilden sehr froh, wenn nur das neueste noch öffentlich sichtbar wäre. Es gibt auch Bilder, bei denen andere mir mit Empfehlungen auf einer Diskussionseite beim Weiterentwickeln geholfen haben. Evolutionsgeschichte zum Beispiel ist ein Gemeinschaftswerk, jetzt auch Embryophyta. Aber das weiß ja keiner, der in meine Bilddateien schaut. Das sieht so schlimm aus. In der englischen Wikipedia gibt es eine Sandbox, da kann man den Text des vorhandenen Artikels reinkopieren, ohne dass welche auf einen losgehen wegen angeblicher Urheberrechtsverletzung, kann den Text in der Sandbox in vielen Schritten bearbeiten, bis er richtig gut ist, dann den echten Artikel im Bearbeitungsmodus öffnen und mit copy and paste die gesamte neue Version in einem Schritt einfügen. So habe ich es bei Mendelian inheritance gemacht [2]. Gibt es so eine Funktion in der deutschen Wikipedia auch? Ich habe das noch nicht gefunden. Sciencia58 (talk) 10:22, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Während man in der Sandbox arbeitet, kann man sich auf der Disk des echten Artikels mit Fachkollegen austauschen, so fließt das Wissen von mehreren ein - das ist ja der Sinn des Gemeinschaftsprojekts - bevor man eine neue Version in den echten Artikel einfügt. Man muss nicht alles auf der Disk des Artikels vorher hinschreiben, so dass einem Leute urplötzlich ins Genick springen können. Mit einer Sandbox kann es nicht zu solchen Kollisionen kommen wie das neulich, das war ja grauenvoll. Gibt es eine Sandbox? Wenn nein, wer könnte eine einrichten? AFBorchert ich hätte mal eine technische Frage. Für den Fall, dass die Collage File:Plants.jpg wegen der unzulässigen Kombination gelöscht werden sollte, gäbe es eine Möglichkeit die vielen Kollegen, die sie in ihren Artikeln haben, vorher zu informieren und ihnen die Collage Embryophyta 1 als Ersatz anzubieten? Oder löscht man das einfach und wenn die anderen plötzlich ein Problem haben, müssen sie selbst in die Kategorien schauen und versuchen, einen Ersatz zu finden? Hallo Sciencia58, die beste Lösung wäre es, ein Ersatzbild mit passender Lizenz zu finden und diese in die Collage einzubauen und dann eine neue Fassung über die jetzige Datei überzuladen. Dann erhalten alle die aktualisierte Fassung und ich kann dann die ältere Fassung löschen. Kannst Du Dir vorstellen, das so umzusetzen? Technisch könnte ich es machen, aber aus fachlicher Sicht wäre es nicht sinnvoll, da die Collage Plants nicht alle Taxa der Embryophyten zeigt, die Abbildungen sind nicht nach taxonomischen Kriterien ausgewählt und angeordnet, die Collage ist klein, hat sehr unscharfe Bilder. Wir würden den anderen Wikipedias, die das genommen haben, als es noch nichts besseres gab, damit keinen Gefallen tun. Sciencia58 (talk) 22:11, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Manche verwenden die Collage Plants in Artikeln als Beispiele für "Pflanzen" allgemein, nicht in der Systematik, dafür eignet sie sich schon. Wenn ich etwas dran mache, würde ich versuchen, sie insgesamt größer zu machen mit größeren scharfen Bildern. Aber für die Artikel zur botanischen Systematik mit dem Lemma Embryophytes wäre meine erheblich besser. Sciencia58 (talk) 22:23, 21 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Eben ist mir aufgefallen, dass bei "Plants" nicht alle verwendeten Bilder in der Quellenliste sind. Die klein abgebildete Trauerweide links und daneben die großen Gräser fehlen. Das Foto vom Sonnenblumenfeld fehlt auch in der Quellenliste, das Foto rechts oben mit den hochstehenden Zapfen und das vom Sauerklee sind auch ohne Quelle. Das Vergissmeinnicht hat er doppelt angegeben und dann noch ein Foto von einer Biene, das gar nicht verwendet wird. Das ist ein ziemliches Durcheinander. AFBorchert hast Du es gesehen, ich habe ein ganz neues gemacht für allgemeine Zwecke, das ist jetzt in den gleichen Kategorien zu finden: File:Plants 1.png bewusst mit einem ähnlichen Namen, damit die Kollegen es leicht finden. Die englische Wikipedia hat auch noch ein sehr schönes für allgemeine Zwecke: File:Diversity of plants image version 5.png. Also für höherwertigen Ersatz ist gesorgt, so könnte man sich schon langsam von dem problematischen unscharfen Bild verabschieden. Gibt es eine Möglichkeit den Kollegen in den anderssprachigen Wikipedias mit anderen Schriften, die kaum jemand lesen kann, das anzukündigen, damit sie schon vor einer Löschung nach Ersatz schauen können? Helen O'Connell hat mir geschrieben, dass sie und die Photographin eine OTRS-Freigabeerklärung an Permissions commons gesendet haben. Manchmal dauert es eine Weile, bis die Leute von Permissions commons die eingehenden Freigabeerklärungen bearbeiten. Ich kann nichts tun als darauf zu warten.

Helen O'Connell wrote me that she and the photographer sent an OTRS release statement to Permissions commons. Sometimes it takes a while for the Permissions commons people to process the incoming release statements. There is nothing I can do but wait for it. Do you mean Helen O'Connell sent you that file and told you she was the author? Where else was it published by her? If she did not publish it, it seems strange to me that she sent you that image, and to you only, and said you could publish it under a "commons" license. I work in Wikipedia in the field of human biology, including articles on sex organs and sexuality. I have of course read publications by Helen O'Connell. Since we did not have a photo of her on Wikimedia commons, I used Google to find out her email address at the urology clinic, emailed her, explained that I work in Wikipedia in the specialties of gynecology and sexuality, and asked her if she could send us a photo of herself for the article about her. She replied that she was pleased with my request and sent me a photo as an email attachment. Then I explained to her how to make an OTRS approval and she approved it. It's a picture from a day when she was giving a video talk in her office about the clitoris. But the photo is NOT a screenshot of the video, she sent it to me as a single image as an email attachment for the article about her. I also received the photo of Valerius Geist from him personally as an email attachment after I wrote to him asking for a photo for Wikipedia. What should be strange about that? That I am a very dedicated Wikipedian who also does background work? I find it rather strange that many Wikipedians leave many things to chance and hardly care about adequate pictures. I also take a lot of pictures myself especially for Wikipedia, sometimes I go by bicycle to places, to take photos of certain objekts, but I don't need to fly to Australia and Canada if I can write to the people.

Da wir bei Wikimedia commons noch kein Foto von ihr hatten, habe ich mit Google ihre Email-Adresse in der urologischen Klinik herausgefunden, habe sie per Email angeschrieben, ihr erklärt dass ich in der Wikipedia in den Fachgebieten Gynäkologie und Sexualiät arbeite, und sie gefragt, ob sie uns ein Foto von sich schicken können für den Artikel über sie. Sie antwortete, dass sie über meine Anfrage erfreut sei und hat mir ein Foto als Email-Anhang gesendet. Dann habe ich ihr erklärt, wie man eine OTRS-Genehmigung macht und sie hat es genehmigt. Es ist eine Aufnahme von einem Tag, an dem sie in ihrem Büro eine Video-Ansprache über die Klitoris gehalten hat. Das Foto ist aber KEIN Screenshot von dem Video, sondern sie hat mir das als Einzelbild als Email-Anhang für den Artikel über sie zukommen lassen. Ich habe auch das Foto von Valerius Geist von ihm persönlich als Email-Anhang zugesandt bekommen, nachdem ich ihn angeschrieben und um ein Foto für die Wikipedia gebeten hatte. Was soll daran sonderbar sein? Dass ich eine sehr engagierte Wikipedianerin bin, die auch Hintergrundarbeit leistet? Ich finde es eher sonderbar, dass viele Wikipedianer viele Dinge dem Zufall überlassen und sich kaum um adequate Bilder kümmern. Ich fotografiere auch viel selbst extra für die Wikipedia, manchmal fahre ich mit dem Fahrrad an Orte, um bestimmte Dinge zu fotografieren, aber ich brauche ja nicht nach Australien und Kanada zu fliegen, wenn ich die Personen anschreiben kann. This is the photo that Helen O'Connell sent to me personally: original-photo. I cropped that, of course. This is the video on Tedx Talks: video. When filming, the camera stands in such a way that the picture frames with the certificates can be seen behind Professor O'Connell's head. The photo is taken from a different perspective. Since she sent it to me in a high resolution, it was no problem to crop it. Whether someone has already published a photo elsewhere and then given us permission, or whether they sent it to me for Wikipedia, is irrelevant. This photo had not yet been published, but it was from an event where good shots were taken of her. It does not show her in private, but on a public occasion practising her profession.

Beim Filmen steht die Kamera so, dass hinter dem Kopf der Professorin O'Connell die Bilderrahmen mit den Urkunden zu sehen sind. Das Foto ist aus einer anderen Perspektive aufgenommen. Da sie es mir in einer hohen Auflösung geschickt hat, war es kein Problem, es zuzuschneiden. Ob jemand ein Foto schon woanders veröffentlicht hat, und uns dann eine Genehmigung gegeben hat, oder ob er es mir für die Wikipedia zugesandt hat, spielt keine Rolle. Dieses Foto war noch nicht veröffentlicht, aber es stammte von einem Anlass, bei dem gute Aufnahmen von ihr gemacht wurden. Habe die Lizenz eben nachgereicht. Ich hatte das Bild ohne den Hochladeassistenten hochgeladen, bei dem man die Lizenz gleich anhaken muss. Ohne den wusste ich nicht wie. Es ist dasselbe Pferd wie auf den anderen Fotos vom 31. Mai 2022 aus dem Wormser Tiergarten File:Süddeutsches Kaltblut 1.jpg. Als wir kamen hat es geschlafen. I have just submitted the license. I had uploaded the image without the upload wizard, where you have to insert the license right away. Without that I did not know how. It is the same horse as in the other photos from May 31, 2022 from the Worms zoo File:Süddeutsches Kaltblut 1.jpg. When we came it was sleeping. Then it woke up and ran around with the others. Der Platz war nicht so leer, wie es hier scheint. Ich habe gewartet, bis gerade keine Passanten vorbeigehen, damit keine erkennbaren Personen ohne ihr Einverständnis abgebildet werden. Deshalb habe ich den Mann auch nur von hinten aufgenommen.

Mit dem Gesicht, der Flöte und den Händen an der Flöte wäre es schöner gewesen.

Redundante minderwertige Fotos[edit]

Liebe @Grizma: ich weiß, mit der Begründung "P" kann man Fotos nicht löschen lassen. Man kann aber Fotos mit der Begründung, dass sie schlechte Qualität haben, oder für die Illustration eines Themas ungeeignet sind, also keinen "educational purpose" haben, auch wenn es von etwas mehrere ähnliche Aufnahmen gibt, kann man für redundante Fotos einen Löschantrag stellen, also ganz normal, so wie ich für mein PNG von den weiblichen Geschlechtsgängen der Säugetiere einen Löschantrag stellen werde, wenn es eine Redundanz zum SVG von K. darstellt. Ich habe mitbekommen, dass schon ein paar Genitalien-Fotos wegen mangelnder Eignung gelöscht wurden.

Es sind leider so viele, dass die Leute mit dem Prüfen und Löschbegründungen schreiben kaum hinterherkommen. Es ist auch unangenehm, sich das dann jeweils genau anschauen und vergleichen zu müssen, besonders wenn es nicht nur Genitalien eines einzelnen Menschen sind, sondern Aufnahmen von sexuellen Handlungen. Es ist ein Erlebnis einer Grenzüberschreitung, weil man die Intimsphäre anderer Menschen normalerweise respektieren würde und sich das nicht anschauen, zumal viele von den Aufnahmen an Ästhetik sehr zu wünschen übrig lassen.

Es ist eine Überwindung. Wenn dann jemand dagegen ist, weil ihm ein Bild gefällt (bei File:Mont de Venus.jpg habe ich das erlebt) muss man sich in Niederungen begeben, mit denen man eigentlich nichts zu tun haben möchte. Es lässt sich aber schon etwas erreichen. Für Mont de Venus gab es Behaltensgründe, denen man kaum widersprechen konnte. Die treffen aber auf den vielen Schrott in besagten Kategorien nicht zu.

Man müsste eben nur den Kompromiss eingehen, dass man sich bei qualitativ vertretbaren Fotos für Behalten ausspricht, also eine positive Selektion macht, obwohl man persönlich der Meinung ist, dass sie alle verzichtbar wären. Gute Fotos von den Organen sind wertvoll für die Gynäkologie, Urologie und Andrologie, aber KEINE Aufnahmen von sexuellen Handlungen anderer Menschen. Außerdem gibt es Fotos, auf denen erkennbare Personen sind, die keine OTRS-Genehmigung oder dergleichen geschickt haben. Bei Deinen Fotos von angezogenen (!) Menschen sind überall die Genehmigungen der Betreffenden. Wenn die bei unbekleideten Menschen fehlt, ist das erst recht ein Löschgrund. Verletzung der Persönlichkeitsrechte. Es gibt Fotos unklarer Herkunft, die durch ein Flickr-Washing gegangen sind, das bei uns ausdrücklich unerwünscht ist. Sciencia58 (talk) 17:24, 28 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Da die Entscheidungen davon abhängen, wieviele für Behalten und wieviele für Löschen stimmen, und von den jeweiligen Begründungen, könnte man das gemeinsam angehen. Es ist leider ein Fass ohne Boden. Die flickr-Sache ist vielsprechend. Ich habe im Moment leider dafür weder Zeit noch Nerven, aber ich könnte mir vorstellen, dass andere Lust hätten, sich an einer solchen Aktion zu beteiligen, ruf doch mal im Kurier oder so dazu auf. I have placed the image in the public domain. If you want, you can translate the labelling yourself into the language of your choice. If you use a translation programme, e.g. Deepl.com, it is advisable to translate each line back after translation to check whether the translation is correct. If the back-translation does not match the English labelling, you can try other options for the choice of words until the back-translation confirms the correctness. This is how I do it. also some labels on File:Male and female homologous pelvic organs ru -1.png are incorrect in Russian, like clitoral glans is головка клитора, the first word literally meaning a little head; there is no вал or бёдра in this context either - they are ствол / тело and ножки клитора. к сожалению, я не профессионал в биологии и медицине, но я ориентируюсь на уже существующие страницы русской Википедии, где есть русская и латинская терминология. На иллюстрации сопоставления органов в принципе теперь подписи правильные по сути, но после двоеточия слова должны быть с маленькой буквы, если это не имена собственные; Я имею в виду надписи "Гонады: Яички / Яичники", где название самих желёз должны быть с маленькой буквы, если это не начало предложения. Гонады или половые железы - это одно и то же, только половые железы понятно простому человеку. Corpora cavernosa по-русски называются пещеристые тела, а corpus spongiosum - губчатое тело уретры. Эректильная ткань уретры звучит не как термин. Посмотрите термины в существующих статьях русских Википедии и на серьёзных русских медицинских сайтах, если не в словарях англо-русских или словарях медицинских терминов на русском языке с латинскими названиями, в Большой медицинской энциклопедии, анатомический атласах, в учебниках анатомии или урологии и гинекологии. Разговорных названий внутренние структуры, мне кажется, не имеют, поэтому надо ориентироваться просто на наличие и связность статей в русском разделе Википедии. В идеале в файле SVG могли быть сделаны подписи ссылки на соответствующие статьи. На своей странице Вы не указали русский язык в качестве рабочего. Слово головка в подписи головка клитора должно быть с большой буквы, а слово клиторальные в словосочетании клиторальные луковицы с маленькой. Подпись " ствол и ножки клитора "должна быть с большой буквы слова ствол. Притяжательные прилагательные от западных фамилий в русском языке кроме анатомической терминологии не употребляются практически, и именно притяжательные прилагательные имеют окончания в форме женского рода именительного падежа не -ая, а -а в единственном числе и окончание ы, а не -ые в именительном и винительном падежах множественного числа: поэтому железы бартолиновы, а не * бартолиновые, то есть последнюю букву надо убрать на подписи , и таким же образом вольфовы и мюллеровы протоки на эмбриональной стадии развития, а не *вольфовые. В русской Википедии из Вики данных в карточках репродуктивной системы попали изображение, которые сейчас предлагается удалить из-за нарушения авторского права, и вы над этим работаете. Если File:Male anatomy numbers 1.png не удалят как производные от несвободного произведения File:Male anatomy number.svg, то было бы хорошо, чтобы вы сделали из этого своего файла его версию в svg и скопировали туда подписи элементов с предыдущего файла svg, откуда взят рисунок. В такой файл хорошо было бы скопировать подписи на разных языках из оригинала , и на русском там всё правильно вроде бы. И в таком виде можно поставить в карточки мочеполовые системы и элементов на Вики данных. The phrase "lose sediments" is not correct. The correct wording should be "loose sediments". Also, I think that you have translated from the German word "Hebung" to "heaving" in English (as in the German version of this diagram, Kreislauf_der_Gesteine_1.png). This English word "heaving" is too informal for a geological diagram. In this situation, it is much better translated to "uplift" in English. Also, I recommend that you should change "Magma" to "magma", for consistency, because all the other text is lowercase. Can you make these changes in the diagram. please? Update Clitoris - Penis - Comparison[edit]

Dear Trudoholic, thank you for writing translated letterings on many pictures. Now I found a very old picture with english lettering, which is completely outdated: File:Penile-Clitoral Structure.JPG. It was uploaded in 2007. Heleon O'Connell had already researched and published the complete structures of the clitoris in 2005: Anatomy of the Clitoris.

In 2010, she succeeded in visualizing the clitoris of a living woman in an erect state using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) File:Clitoris 3 D - Helen O'Connell.jpg. It is therefore time to replace the outdated image of male and female erectile tissue. It only correctly shows the male parts formed by the corpus cavernosus and the corpus spongiosus, but it doesn't show those of the woman correctly. The crus and bulb of the male are not labeled. The woman's organ is shown in a crippled form. Recent research results show that the female glans arises from the corpus spongiosus like the male glans, so both can be considered as homologous. The earlier assumption that the glans only consists of the corpus spongiosus in men, but of the corpus cavernosus in women was wrong, although the tissues of the female glans are difficult to assign to one or the other because they seem to also have characteristics of the cavernosa. There is an "infracorporeal residual spongy part" between the female glans and the bulb, which suggests the common embryonic development, as well as the visible fact that in a micropenis or in a clitoral hypertrophy, the glans develops in the same way as in a normal penis, except that it remains small. I have created a new illustration for the comparison according to the latest state of knowledge and uploaded an English labeled version and an unlabeled version for translations. A technical hint: To show other versions of an image: Put a colon after the first square double bracket, so [[:File: ...

In this way you make the image clickable and prevent the image from being shown in a huge size on the same page like here File:Rezeptoren an Klitoriseichel und Vorhaut.png.
