Just received permission from Parliament of Canada to upload images of Canadian parliamentarians to Wikimedia. I copied their permission number & email address to the image, but I know that's not sufficient. Could you kindly respond as to how to proceed for this and future images. Thanks. — User talk:Ineuw 16:53, 14 June 2012 (UTC)

Their official email permission form is in my possession and it covers all images of parliamentarians, not just the one I uploaded. I could forward it to Wikimedia, or ask for an OTRS? — User talk:Ineuw 17:47, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
P.S: Forwarded the official Canadian Parliament permission form to OTRS. So, just let's wait to see if it's acceptable. It would have been nice if you would have directed me what to do, because of copyright issues, I focus only on public domain images, pre-1923. — User talk:Ineuw 16:00, 18 June 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I first wrote to the government on the ~16th of April, and after complaining to them for not receiving a reply after three weeks, I received from them three separate emails with additional info where and how to address such issues. First, let's wait for the OTRS to reply and then I post accurate info at the Village pump. — User talk:Ineuw 02:28, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
Hi. OTRS rejected the Canadian parliament's form due to incorrect and insufficient wording of the permission and thus, I removed the links, and attached the copyvio tag for speedy removal. For the time being, I will not pursue uploading non-PD images, just because the effort is too time consuming and I am committed to other PD uploads. Thanks again. — User talk:Ineuw 17:13, 24 June 2012 (UTC)

Please be careful when using FTCG

Please be careful when using FTCG. I've noticed numerous images you've uploaded from English Wikipedia which incorrectly list the image as "own work" - namely, when it was an old image that was clearly not the uploader's own work. I know you have the option with that script to be more careful, so please do. Thanks. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 03:12, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

Wasn't paying attention to this parameter. I will next time, thanks for the tip. --SamuelFreli (talk) 03:43, 5 September 2012 (UTC)

Deletion of three files.

Hi, You've deleted three files I uploaded yesterday. I would like to contest these deletions in saying that I am a representative of ASP Europe, the Association that owns the rights to these files, and I have authority to use them. I would like to have the three files restored, so I'm able to use them to complete the pages about our association in multiple languages.

Thank's in advance. Regards,

Nicolas Leroy Media Manager for ASP Europe.

I removed the speedy on the 4 watermarked files. The watermark seems to be a personal mark and all 4 files have EXIF from same camera. These look like personally taken and watermarked images. INeverCry 02:28, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

This is a bit strange, so I'll have to ask the uploader about it. INeverCry 02:42, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for your message. I have a link (http://www.historische-messgeraete.de/lizenzbestimmungen.html) that confirms the Creative Commons license for the photos on this website, but I don't know the protocol/template for including this information with the image file. Can you help with this? Easchiff (talk) 05:45, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

I have updated the image description to fill out the permissions field; for some reason this wasn't obvious to me when I used the upload tool. Sorry for the confusion. Anyway, I don't think OTRS needs to be involved; the situation seems similar to verifying a license posted at Flickr. Cheers, Easchiff (talk) 12:52, 20 December 2012 (UTC)
