CropTool

Hi SHB2000, I have fixed the content of two of your uploads: 1 and 2 recently. Please read my summaries. CropTool does not check the description and categories of the new files you create with it, nor incite you to check them. Thus, it is important to remember to verify these elements when you suppress 80% of the content. For example there is not "Orange sky" in this this banner you've imported. To avoid overloading the categories with unrelated files, it is important you read what you've done after you click on the button. Just to point out, the image doesn't actually show the Cliffs or the National Park but the farm fence in the foreground instead. Calistemon (talk) 12:02, 12 August 2022 (UTC)

Just to clarify, currently none of what is on the banner is part of the National Park. All it shows is my mother in laws farm. Only the top part of the original image is Nangar. I'm not anywhere near a computer the next few days, being wildflower hunting in WA, but I can extract a banner showing the National Park in a few days, if you want. De kategorier som ingår är byggnadsminnen, fornminnen, kulturmärkta fartyg och fritidsbåtar och arbetslivsmuseer – och du är välkommen att bidra med bilder hela september.

Привіт!

Цього року українська частина міжнародного фотоконкурсу «Вікі любить пам'ятки» пройде з 1 по 31 жовтня — через російське вторгнення в Україну також довелося змінити умови: тільки світлини зроблені до 23 лютого 2022 року включно будуть прийматися в основній частині конкурсу.

В Україні цей конкурс пройде вже водинадцяте. На конкурс можна подавати власні фото пам'яток історико-культурної спадщини України — і змагатися за призи. Більше можна прочитати за посиланням.

Радимо ознайомитися із детальними правилами, а також із відповідями на часті питання. Як і того року — у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток» можна отримати 21 бал за фотографії об'єктів, якщо світлин цієї пам'ятки раніше не було завантажено.

Нагадаємо, що всі фотографії автоматично беруть участь у номінації «За найбільшу кількість сфотографованих пам’яток»; однак для того, щоб фото позмагалося у номінації «Найкраще фото», потрібно підтвердити це при завантаженні.

Цього року знову пройде спецномінація «Відео» — для участі робіт у цій спецномінації не потрібно обирати нічого у Завантажувачі — роботи зараховуватимуться автоматично з відповідних списків.

Thanks for moving files from the khteWisconsin Flickr stream!

These files had really bad names which polluted a lot of searches. Giving them better names was a major effort involving at least 7 file movers. Together you moved more than a thousand files. Cryptic-waveform (talk) 14:16, 24 October 2022 (UTC)

Rename request

What was the issue with the move request you denied? Most files depicting the flag have its ratio in the filename, leaving it out promotes ambiguity, putting it in resolves it. GPinkerton (talk) 13:28, 22 December 2022 (UTC)

Move categories rather than recreating

Please, next time move the categories so the history of it can be moved as well (eg Category:National parks in the Northern Territory) Bidgee (talk) 03:19, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
