Ww2 155.jpg[edit]

On 27 Mar. you deleted Image:Ww2 155.jpg probably by request of speedy deletion made by W.wolny with the reason of duplication (Image:Iwo Jima amtracs.jpg), but neither you or him, didn't fixed the articles that were/are using the image.
And on the page description of the image, I added interwikis to the projects using the image, in special WP:PT.

@Get It, yes how? There are no wikilinks that show you where. So there is not even a possibility to start a bot with no single login. And it is a job users can do! Condoleezza Rice deletion[edit]

Hi Roger. On March 28, you deleted Image:Rice 5x7 300dpi 8bit.jpg with the reason "duplicate". What was the image a duplicate of? It doesn't appear to have been listed on Commons:Deletion requests. Hi there, I'm sorry I didn't response faster, thought I had already done this ;) IIRC the deleted image is a duplicate of Official portrait of National Security Advisor Dr. Condoleezza Rice. Okay, thanks for the response. The portrait at [1] is similar, but not the same. And according to Special:Undelete/Image:Rice 5x7 300dpi 8bit.jpg, the image was never tagged for speedy deletion. I'll go ahead and upload the portrait soonish. Alas, the version that User:Srbauer uploaded was tweaked a bit from the version at state.gov—his improvements are now lost. I went through Armenische Zentralbank and I did not find *any* information about banknotes and coins copyright. Moreover, I can't see on de:Dram (Währung) any indication that this material is free. software konfigurieren[edit]

hi roger. ich hab da mal so 'ne idee: (ich nehm mal ein beispiel, weil allgeimein ist das fast unmöglich) David Hilbert ist in der category:German mathematicians, aber nicht in der Category:Mathematicians. wenn also automatisch alle artikel, die in die kategorie [:category:sowieso by nationality] sind, in [:category:sowieso] eingeordnet werden, hat man a) alle leute mit sowieso auf einen blick und b) zusätzlich noch mal unterteilt nach nationalität. ist das mögich, die software dahingehend zu konfigurieren? sag mir bescheid, was du davon hälst, oder besser stell das im village pump, ich weiß nicht, wie man das auf englisch erklären kann Schaengel89 @me 18:09, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

problem mit bild ersetzen[edit]

hi roger, ich habe mittlerweile 20 bilder auf dem desktop, die darauf waretn, dass sie in den commons ein gleichnamiges bild ersetzen. bei einigen hab ich es schon mehrmals versucht, diese bilder in die commons hochzuladen und ein bild zu ersetzen. blöderweise werden meine veränderungen überhaupt nicht akzeptiert, sprich das bild sieht nachher genauso aus wie vorher auch. ist es evtl. ein fehler, der nur bei mir angezeigt wird (dass andere das neue bild sehen und ich das alte) oder ein bekannter fehler, der demnächst behoben werden kann? Round 2 of Picture of the Year 2017 is open![edit]

Dear Roger Zenner,

Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

In the final round, you may vote for a maximum of three images. The image with the most votes will become the Picture of the Year 2017.

Round 2 will end on 22 July 2018, 23:59 UTC.
