Welcome to Wikimedia Commons, Reddogsix!

I own the copyrights for this image, and I uploaded it onto wikipedia myself: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:FrancescoGiroldini.jpg I'm the copyright owner for francescogiroldini.com where the image still appears.

thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Frannybobo (talk • contribs) 00:47, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Reddogsix: why did you delete my Julie Carlson page? It had several references to active, reliable sources. At the very least please move the page to drafts so I don’t lose the work. Additionally why did you flag my photo? It was provided as publicly available to upload. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ejquittner (talk • contribs) 13:08, 25 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This file isn't copyrighted, I'm the one who took the picture of the personnel, I also asked for his permission to use his photo, Thanks.

Photo Tagging[edit]

(I mis-posted this on your front page) Why did you mark those pictures as possible copyright violations?

Please view the talk pages for verification of permissions - if you continue to mark the pages for deletion, I'm going to request moderation from a Wikipedia administrator.

Firasalbadri (talk) 14:10, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, I am not deleting the photos, I am only nominating them for deletion. An ADMIN is reviewing the nomination and after concurring with the nomination and they are deleting them. The photos are being deleted because they are copyright violations. Please see WP:COPYVIO and WP:DCM for information on how to donate copyrighted material to Wikipedia. reddogsix (talk) 18:23, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, FYI I have reverted this back to the version uploaded by the bot. We're always supposed to upload the highest resolution available at Flickr. And images that are rotated can be fixed by another bot. When you come across a rotated picture, please use {{Rotate}} instead. Regards, De728631 (talk) 15:48, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

FYI! I am the Public Relationship affiliate for the Mujeres Poetas Internacional MPI, inc. I also happen to be the photographer and some times travel to take pictures of Festival Internacional de Poesia Grito de Mujer events. On deleting File:Sabhan_Adam_Portrait.jpeg[edit]

How come the file is deleted only 4 minutes after you messaged me about it! Shouldn't there be some time frame to enable the user to fix the situation! I mean... 4 minutes?!

I am going to re-upload it and put some clarification in the talk page.

Please, in the future, give a realistic time frame that is longer than 4 minutes, between your message and deleting the file, to allow anyone to fix the situation, we are users not bots. Aularon (talk) 17:44, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I just realized you are only nominating files for deletion, I messaged the user who deleted the file about this issue. Aularon (talk) 17:50, 11 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrol given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. INeverCry 01:17, 17 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Reddogsix,

Please closely examine the Licensing on my images - Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 4.0. I noticed you recently flagged my files for copyright violations and speedy deletions.

Please keep in mind they are properly attributed and have been approved for use on Wikimedia by admins Srittau (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Srittau) and Clpo13 (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Clpo13).

Please feel free to contact the above admins if you think they are incorrect. Also please provide concrete proof of the images I uploaded as being copyvios, and propose a clear and concise course of action.

Template addition after fixing Selena Lee notability and copyright image[edit]

Hi reddogsix,

You left a message with a warning about removing templates from the wiki entry. On my submission fix I removed a bad citation, added recognition of Depart of State of Rhode Island for exceptional contributions to a community, and added a picture taken by and owned by me. I am new to Wikipedia entries, could you give me some guidance on how to properly remove the banners and keep the picture? Any advice and guidance is appreciated.

Thanks,

File:Rojda Felat.png[edit]

Hi reddogsix,

You first marked the image as copyright violation, although it is licensed as free by VOA, and then you undid the copyvio. Is there still a problem, or is everything ok now? Applodion (talk) 22:42, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Applodion, my apologies, I should have removed the tag from your page. If indeed, it is free content per VOA, then there should be no issue. Thanks and sorry for not updating your talk page. reddogsix (talk) 22:46, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No problem, I was just confused. Applodion (talk) 23:06, 1 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Delete request for File:Luisa Hartema.jpg[edit]

Hello Reddogsix, what's wrong with you or with your eyes? In your delete request you write as reason: http://www.gntm-blog.de/allgemein/gntm-wochenrueckblick-luisa-in-love-oneeins-in-der-kritik/ Well, this webpage is using the wikimedia image and gives attribution "Copyright Michael Schilling. CC BY SA 3.0". It's not very difficult to see, that my name is Michael Schilling. My image does not infringe any copyrights. The photo was personally photographed by me. I was also an accredited photographer. I think you should continue to reproduce what is a copyright infringement. As you can see from your discussion page, you are more often unauthorized delete requests. In future, please let me spread such nonsense about my person. --Michael-schilling (talk) 17:28, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Michael-schilling - I will ignore your rudeness and attribute that to your lack of familiarity with the English language. If I have made a mistake, my apologies; however, unless you have never made one, I would suggest you may want to assume good faith rather than jump all over a fellow editor. My best to you. reddogsix (talk) 22:59, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Need assistance with my first written article[edit]

Hello there, Ive just finished writing an article Orly Ben-Garti and i have followed all the guidelines and rules but it seem that you have marked it for speedy deletion and a breach of copyright content. Can you please help me understand where are these errors so this article will remain online? I have read the links you've provided but couldn't find out what should be altered. Deletion of HoodyBaby.jpg[edit]

The image in question is free to use content; however, to avoid possible claims of copyright violation, it has now been sourced. Furthermore, this image can be found via a Google search, and Google now removes results that violate the Digital Millenium Copyright Act. In the future, please refrain from removing the artwork and simply add the reference. I also believe the following tags are applicable: { {PD-author|author} }, { {PD-US-unpublished} }, { {FAL} }, { {Copyrighted Free Use} }, { {PD-because|reason} }, and even { {cc-zero} }. @Reddogsix: Do you see the inscription "pokatut.photosight.ru" in the upper right corner? This in Cyrillic means "ПОКА ТУТ". The site deceived you, pointing the author to Reuters. Maurizio Fugatti[edit]

Hi,
I just saw you deleted the file I uploaded about Maurizio Fugatti (here), citing copyright questions as an obstacle to the upload. I took in consideration copyright and licensing seriously, as I provided to insert the license I found on the Di Maio portrait twice (here). I hope in a re-upload to better complete the encyclopedia. Thank you, bye. --Foghe (talk) 19:48, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio tagging[edit]

Hello.
You may use the {{Copyvio}} tag only where the media is obviously non-free. In practice, it means that

  1. the rights holder is obviously not the uploader, and
  2. nothing suggests release of the media under a compatible license.

Whenever you are unsure about either of the two statements, use regular deletion. Yet few such taggings as Revision of File:ShestakovOleg.jpg and Revision of File:Enowa_Logo.jpg and a user conduct report about your actions will be submitted. See also user talk: Dogad75 #File:Kaikov_Andrey.jpg. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 12:26, 9 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Also. Your conduct in File:Chioma Okoli 2 Feb 2018.png (histlogsabuse log) looks like an edit war. And your deletion of File:Kaikov Andrey.jpg (histlogsabuse log) has been reverted (see here). This indicates a critically high error rate with use of {{copyvio}}. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 15:35, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Incnis Mrsi - </SIGH> Your threats are not appreciated ("a user conduct report about your actions will be submitted") Threats are not appreciated or consistent with Wikipedia conduct. Feel free to file an AVI report if needed, but I highly suggest you are sure about your statements about my actions and edit wars. reddogsix (talk) 16:01, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
What the ⋯ should this “AVI” mean? From my en.Wikipedia time I remember certain “AN/I” but Wikimedia Commons hasn’t a homologue of that cloaca. Nobody objects against a correct, responsible use of {{copyvio}}. But at user_talk:Dogad75 you are unresponsive for 30 hours, although it was you who attacked the innocent image transferred from ru.Wikipedia. If you will continue with frequent disruption with {{copyvio}}, then the community certainly will effect some measure of self-defence. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 18:05, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Incnis Mrsi </SIGH> If a mistake was made, that is why there are nominators and admins to review the nomination. Feel free to submit "a user conduct report" about my not responding to someone for 30 hours or anything else you can think of. Enjoy your day and my best to you. reddogsix (talk) 18:19, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The “nominator” was one reddogsix. “Admins” are error-prone, whereas certain reddogsix didn’t notify Retinha, the original uploader and presumed author of Kaikov_Andrey.jpg. Dogad75 only transferred the file from Wikipedia. Even had Retinha receive a notice (effective via ru.Wikipedia only, because never registered here), unlikely any reaction would be possible – the account is abandoned for years. It is up to Incnis Mrsi to review in these circumstances, but he has an abrasive demeanor and hence better not to depend on him. Incnis Mrsi (talk) 18:59, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@Incnis Mrsi </SIGH> Again, rather than continue to bother me, feel free to submit "a user conduct report" about my not responding to someone for 30 hours or anything else you can think of. Enjoy your day and my best to you. reddogsix (talk) 19:46, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
