If you post to my talk page, I will reply exclusively here. If I posted recently to your talk page, I will read responses exclusively there.

I am disinterested in hate mail or rants; if you want to blow off steam, go join a gym instead.

Beyond that, you're far more likely to get a response out of me if you write to my main Wikipedia page; I won't often be here.

Hello. Is this your own work, or just incorrectly tagged? --Skeezix1000 (talk) 17:39, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • Why would you think that it's incorrectly tagged? I can't imagine tagging it as my own work if it was not. Ravenswing (talk) 17:47, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's a fair question given the comment on the talk page. I didn't assume malicious/duplicitous actions. My first thought was that the HHOF got the image from the Commons (it is freely licensed, after all), and I wanted to add the {{Published}} tag to the talk page. Failing that, you would be shocked (or maybe not) at how many people label images as their "own work" here on Commons (even, on occasion, experienced Wikipedia editors) simply because they were the ones to scan or upload it (or they retouched the image, cropped it, etc.) - again, more often than not there is no bad faith attempt to mislead, they just honestly consider it their own work since they did all the work getting it here on the Commons. Again, not assuming that would have been the circumstances with this photo, but it does warrant asking the question. --Skeezix1000 (talk) 18:01, 5 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
