Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Wound ballistics diagrams

Hi -- the four wound ballistics diagrams you uploaded, File:M16 5.56x45mm wound ballistics.gif etc., were correctly attributed to Martin L. Fackler. However, they were missing all publication data, most importantly the year. The "date" slot is not for the date of your upload, it is supposed to date the thing you uploaded. The correct source information in this case would have been:

"Wounding Patterns of Military Rifle Bullets", International Defense Review 22(1),1989, pp. 59-64.[1]

Please cite the sources for the material you upload.

Also, unfortunately, this means that there is a problem with your claim that the images are in the publc domain, as International Defense Review is a commercially published journal. Fackler may have been an "employee of the United States Government" in 1989, but it is not clear that his publication in this journal shold count as "work prepared as part of his official duties under the terms of Title 17, Chapter 1, Section 105 of the US Code". In fact, I do not think it is likely that it should. I am not submitting the images for deletion at the moment to give you a chance to argue their status, but I do think that unfortunately they are hosted here in violation of either Fackler's or IHS Inc.'s copyright. --Dbachmann (talk) 09:11, 5 December 2015 (UTC)

This is good news. What you should do is, you should cite the 1987 date together with the Letterman Army Institute report as reference and this should be sufficient to establish that the images are indeed in the public domain in the US. Thank you, --Dbachmann (talk) 06:12, 9 December 2015 (UTC)

the "other versions" slot is for the same image hosted under a different filename on wikimedia; the original publication should just go under "source". Any additional information you may want to include can go into "description". --Dbachmann (talk) 15:09, 9 December 2015 (UTC)
