Aide sur la procédure de suppression de fichier[edit]

Bonjour,
Je me permets de demander ton aide à propos d'un fichier à supprimer. J'ai créé hier matin un sujet sur le Bistro à propos de deux fichiers presque identiques dont le premier est manifestement à supprimer comme je l'explique ICI. Pour accélérer le traitement, j'ai posé sur ce fichier une proposition de suppression. Mais, celle-ci indique que la demande est incomplète parce que je n'aurais pas créé de sous-page ad hoc. I proposed that each project choose the media it prefers. Upload issues[edit]

J'ai besoin d'aide !!! Enfin, pas moi. user:erinamukuta. Ce week-end, elle organisait une chasse photo suivie d'une session d'upload de groupe. Connexion trop pourrie... ils n'ont pas réussi à uploader les photos. Est-il possible que quelqu'un lui donne un coup de main ? Et si oui, comment faire ? Il doit y avoir un peu plus de 100 fichiers. Je présume qu'elle doit pouvoir les mettre sur une dropbox en prenant beaucouuuuuuup de temps. Je suis totalement incapable de la piloter pour utiliser Commonist (je ne sais pas comment ça marche). I see, you are jury member of international WLM. So I have a question about evaluating of photos. What are you doing if user uploads new version of photo? Do you count this version during evaluation? I would count the last uploaded pictures within the date of the contest. If it is uploaded as separated files, I would evaluate both files: meaning that if one was uploaded after the end of the contest, it would not be evaluated. Pierre, sorry about impersonal template, but I an using a batch script and the same exact message goes to people that have been editing for a day and for a decade.   • Some wikis can now be used only with HTTPS. This includes the English, Russian and Chinese Wikipedias, among others. Soon all wikis will use only HTTPS for all users. [8] [9]
  • You can't use HTTPS wikis with Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP. You need to use another browser. [10]

  • On June 15, search was broken on all wikis for several hours. [11] [12] [13]

  • The "Your preferences have been saved" message has changed. You can now see more easily what was saved when you change preferences several times. [62]
  • You can now play Ogg video files in some browsers that don't support this format. This solution uses JavaScript and works on desktop browsers only for now. It will work on mobile later. [63]

Latest tech news from the Wikimedia technical community. Please tell other users about these changes. Not all changes will affect you. Translations are available.

Recent changes

  • VisualEditor will now automatically create a link when you type in or paste an ISBN, PMID, or RFC. [87][88]
  • The link editor in VisualEditor is now a bit wider. It's now the same width as the automatic citation tool. [89]
  • VisualEditor gadget authors can no longer use the backwards-compatibility module ext.visualEditor.viewPageTarget.init. Use ext.visualEditor.desktopArticleTarget.init instead. [90]
  • Gadget writers can now use mediawiki.ForeignApi to communicate between different Wikimedia wikis. [91]

Changes this week

  • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from September 1. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis from September 2. It will be on all Wikipedias from September 3 (calendar).

Meetings

  • You can join the next meeting with the VisualEditor team. During the meeting, you can tell developers which bugs are the most important. The meeting will be on September 1 at 19:00 (UTC). See how to join.

Future changes

  • The Wikidata API will be updated with breaking changes. This will probably happen on September 9. [92]

Recent changes

  • You can now mention up to 50 users in a post and they will get a notification. Previously you could notify up to 20 users. [93]
  • A new version of the Wikidata Toolkit has been released. It now has Wikibase API support. [94]
  • You can now use Wikidata to find all good or featured articles in a Wikipedia version. [95]

Problems

  • There was a problem with Tool Labs due to kernel issues. This has been fixed. [96]
  • The Content Translation tool published some pages with the same reference repeated several times. This has been fixed. [97][98]

Changes this week

  • The new version of MediaWiki will be on test wikis and MediaWiki.org from September 8. It will be on non-Wikipedia wikis from September 9. It will be on all Wikipedias from September 10 (calendar).
  • The maximum character length when you search for something on the Wikimedia wikis is now 300 characters. [99]
  • The notifications list has been split into two lists. As a first step, notifications about messages on your user talk page will be placed in the second list. Feedback is requested at the Echo talk page. [100][101]

Future changes

  • The Wikimedia mailing lists will be moved to a new server and the software will be upgraded. This will happen on September 9 at 14:00 (UTC). The mailing lists will not be working during the move. It can take up to four hours. [102]
  • Wikidata will soon be able to store measurements, such as a mountain's height or the distance between two places. [103][104]

Recent changes

  • You can now use the Wikidata query service. [105]
  • Belarusian-Taraškievica Wikipedia was moved from be-x-old.wikipedia.org to be-tarask.wikipedia.org. This caused some issues, but most of them were resolved. [106]
  • Language preferences might not be changed immediately when you adjust them. Language selection might work slower. Please report any problems. [107][108]

Problems

  • There was a problem when editing International Standard Book Numbers in Visual Editor. This has now been fixed. [109]
  • The Wikimedia mailing lists should have been upgraded on September 9. It didn't work as planned and will now happen later. [110]

Please sign new Wikimedia confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information by 15 December[edit]

This is a message from the Wikimedia Foundation. Translations are available.

As you may know, the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees approved a new "Access to nonpublic information policy" on 25 April 2014 after a community consultation. The former policy has remained in place until the new policy could be implemented. That implementation work is now being done, and we are beginning the transition to the new policy.

An important part of that transition is helping volunteers like you sign the required confidentiality agreement. All Wikimedia volunteers with access to nonpublic information are required to sign this new agreement, and we have prepared some documentation to help you do so.

The Wikimedia Foundation is requiring that anyone with access to nonpublic information sign the new confidentiality agreement by 15 December 2015 (OTRS users have until 22 December 2015) to retain their access. You are receiving this email because you have access to nonpublic information and are required to sign the confidentiality agreement under the new policy.

Signing the confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information is conducted and tracked using Legalpad on Phabricator. The general confidentiality agreement is now ready, and the OTRS agreement will be ready after 22 September 2015. We have prepared a guide on Meta-Wiki to help you create your Phabricator account and sign the new agreement: Confidentiality agreement for nonpublic information/How to sign

If you have any questions or experience any problems while signing the new agreement, please visit this talk page or email me (gvarnum@wikimedia.org). Again, please sign this confidentiality agreement by 15 December 2015 (OTRS users have until 22 December 2015) to retain your access to nonpublic information.
