Russian Thrust at Avdivka[edit]

Russia since Oct 6th began a new offensive in and near Avdiivka, battles still take place but I think some more arrows and changes should be seen to understand the situation.

Sure, I will clarify the Avdiivka area on the map. Physeters 18:57, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Counter-Attack near Verbove[edit]

So according to more recent reports, Verbove should no longer be contested as Russia not only still controls it but did clearing operations in trenches near the road NE of it. Though there is still cleanup and likely positional fighting here and there, it was confirmed the Ukraine failed to take the city despite their best efforts. That road was a death road for them, open to artillery which led to a shortage of equipment and men, deeming that offensive side subdued, anyways, just thought you should know.

Sorry for missing this. I will update the map tonight. Physeters 21:56, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Autopatrol given[edit]

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. GPSLeo (talk) 09:53, 14 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Russian Bakhmut Front[edit]

Russia controls Khromove and Bakhmut, the outskirts are inactive to Ukraine and have garrison issues, giving Russia an edge on this front as they are in fact advancing here again.

Hi, I'm sorry for not replying sooner. I saw that Russia claimed full control over Khromove a couple of days ago, however, as of right now, there is no evidence that Russia controls the whole town. They definitely control part of it, which is why I marked Khromove as contested recently.
As for Bakhmut, Ukraine had controlled a few dachas in the extreme southeastern part of the city since June, but it sounds like Russia has finally managed to push them out of the city limits in the past week. The situation is still unclear, so I haven't changed the map, but I probably will in the near future. Update[edit]

Will there be a month update or by weekly? P.S, I tried signing but hopefully did it this time.--SCPdude629 (talk) 19:34, 21 January 2024 (UTC)SCPdude629[reply]

Hi! I update the map whenever I feel it's required. That could be as frequently as every day, or as infrequently as every other week. There haven't been any noticable changes recently, so the map is basically still up to date, however, I will adjust the map tonight as has been quite a while since the last update. Also, your signature did work this time. Physeters 19:57, 21 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Further reports (Kharkiv Front?)[edit]

There are reports coming, some are arguably disputed but aside from recent advances, there's a possibility Russia may've started opening or building up for a second Kharkiv front. Though I am still skeptical and scoping for any immediate updates, I wonder if an offensive has occurred under radar or Fog of War. I'll send links of reports below, after speculating, this could be an attempt to regain the lost ground from early on. Even if its not happening which is unclear, I would still recommend watching this front.

I was unaware of these rumors, thanks for sharing! Physeters 17:16, 11 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, knowing how the Russian space generally reports positive news almost immediately, I think it would be fairly clear that a new offensive has started. I haven't seen anything from them yet, but I will definitely pay more attention. I've have thought for a while that something like this would eventually happen, so we'll just have to wait and see. We will keep our eyes out, although there are reports that the Krynky Bridgehead was lost. This is disputed tho as Ukraine denies it even if Russia literally took it. Could be Fog of War, I don't know but if this is the case then Krynky should be updated. SCPdude629 (talk) 23:52, 13 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
While it's still early, should it become clear that Ukraine abandoned/lost its foothold in Krynky, I'll definitely mark it as Russian controlled. Physeters 08:53, 15 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
