Hello.

Can you add Montenegro which became a NATO member in 2017 in File:NATO expansion-sr.svg and File:NATO expansion.png?

Can you also add Sout Sudan in File:Africa Pressure Map July.svg, File:Africa Pressure Map January.svg, File:Africa Ocean Currents Map-sr.svg, File:Africa Temperature Map-sr.svg, File:Africa Precipitation Map-sr.svg?

I am adding South Sudan (as well as Montenegro and other possible missing updates) in the PNG maps in Category:Maps needing South Sudan political boundaries and then remove this category after updating them. There were close to 1100 maps since I started to update these files on 1 March 2018, now it is reduced to less than 570 maps, but there is a long way to go.

Unfortunately I don't know how to edit SVG maps and complicated PNG maps myself, that is why I asked you.

Thank you for your reply. I assumed that the original uploader was inactive, that is why I asked other Serbian Wikimedia Commons users. Unfortunately I live in a country called Turkey, where Wikipedia is blocked and banned (along with tens of thousands of overwhelmingly innocent and non-political websites) and Wikimedia Commons (which is, surprisingly, not blocked and banned in Turkey - yet) is the only avenue I can make contact and communicate. Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the second round of the 2017 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the twelfth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2017) to produce a single Picture of the Year.

Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year were entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

There are two total rounds of voting. In the first round, you voted for as many images as you liked. In Round 1, there were 1475 candidate images. There are 58 finalists in Round 2, comprised of the top 30 overall as well as the top 2 from each sub-category.

Cycling and translations

Hi PetarM. I see you add photos of a cycling race, and you speak serbian and slovenian. If you want, you can translate these items presented on this kit. A part of them are reused on Wikimedia Commons thanks to Wikidata Infobox (see here) while the other are reused on Wikidata and possibly on Wikipedias via d:Module:Cycling race. Note that if a day you have speakers interested, an adaptation is possible. fr:Grand Prix de Denain 2018 is a good example of what it is possible to do now : we contribute in Wikidata and then reuse datas on articles. The village is named Lipik [1] (SW of Pakrac). The photo was taken from 45°24'30.52"N - 17°10'5.46"E, direction to the south.

The date is correct. The war around Lipik took place since August 17th, 1991 to January 2nd, 1992 (there were operation even later). The Operation Bljesak was carried out in the area since May 1st, 1995. Lipik was not damaged during this operarion.

Olivier salad in Serbian Christmas meal.jpg ?

Your picture Serbian Christmas meal.jpg is to appear on en.wikipedia's Main Page tomorrow, but there seems to be a problem identifying the foodstuffs. The yellow food marked as Olivier salad does not look like any other picture of the dish at Olivier salad, nor, more worryingly, any of the dishes in your other picture (Christmas table (Serbian cuisine).jpg) that identifies something as Olivier salad that looks far more like the other photos in the Wikipedia article.

Česnica

Dgagi Petre, meni ovo jelo na slici više liči na pitu savijaču. Pogotovo što si uz nju slikao i crnogorsku lozovaču. Česnice u Srbiji izgledaju kao pogača (ili ti hleb, što si i napisao u opisu), a u Vjvodini liče na baklavu. Ovo sigurno nije česnica kakva se pravi u Srbiji (ili Crnoj Gori), a makedonsku nisam nikada videla. Mada sumnjam da je ovakva, jer ko bi obrtao u rukama ovakvu pitu, koja svaki čas može da se raspadne Template:Smeh. Bilo bi dobro da to ispraviš u opisu fotografije! BuhaM: Ne okreču svi rukama, higienski je u tanjiru, onda se seče. Pogledao sam slike, ja vidim zamotane, čak dupli zamot kao vrpca. Moraš tamo više da pitaš. Takođe je u pitanju o čemu pričamo, Česnica u Srba ili Česnica u Srbiji !? Ima hrana koji Srbe rade u Bosni a ne u Srbiji, takođe i za ostale predele. Koja je prava ? Kako ti kažeš... Mislim da je i u Bosni pita - pita! Pogotovo što sam rođena u SFRJ, u mešovitom braku i tako to... Pa nekako znam. Ali priznajem da baš nisam videla kako u Bosni okreću tepsiju sa pitom. Drugo, ovde su ti novogodišnji ukrasi i crnogorska Loya na stolu. Božić u Crnoj Gori isto slave uz Badnjak. I naravno, SVI I SVUDA na trpezi imaju SVEĆU! Nema kuglica. To je novo i moderno... Al, ajde, opet, kažem... Ti znaš najbolje šta si slikao... A, da, higijena! O higijeni se vodi računa od (verovatno) 2000-te. Pa još 70-ih su majke hranile bebe tako što su prvo one žvakale hranu! Videla svojim očima i probala da objasnim, ali me gledali kao vanzemaljca (što nije čudno - imala sam 70 godina, a ta žena oko 40... :D ). Ajd uzdravlje! Ma neću ja da menjam ništa. Tvoja fotka, poštujem autorsko delo i pravo :D . Samo mislim da ne bi trebalo baš praviti neke dezinformacije. Da ne pričam o strancima, ali NAŠI novinari (bar ovi u Srbiji) konstantno prepisuju članke sa Vikipedije (od reči do reči) pa će ovaj narod biti još zbunjeniji nego što je sada, a zbunjen je totalno. Ako mi napišeš GDE si ovo slikao, izmeniću. Ako si STVARNO lomio ovu pitu da bi u njoj našao novčić, onda neka ostane tako! Ti si je gledao, nisam ja. :D Nadam se da si shvatio šta hoću da kažem. @BuhaM Da prepisuju znam, jer je naša slava bila u nekom magazinu. Žurnalizam dole je postao prepis Viki teksta več jedno vreme. Ali šta da radiš, "novinar" vidi da neče dogurati i tako lepo napisati pa uzme Viki, to je pohvala za Viki u stvari. Pita je naša, ne sečam se dali sam dobio novčič, jer imam neke več od prije pa ne znam godinu, a od skute je, znači sir. Petre, popravila sam opis fotografije, ali bi bilo dobro da se konsultuješ i sa tim bosanskosrpskim domaćicama! Ima tu još i zeljanica, krompiruša, sa spanaćem... Ma svašta nešto, samo bi bilo previše pisati sve to. Pitaj ih i za Hrvatsku i Makedoniju. I Bugari prave nešto slično, ali mi se čini da ih oni slažu ili gužvaju (banice - kao gibanica). Nešto se ne sećam. U Sofiji su bile baš nikakve... I molim te, proveri ovaj engleski tekst. Nije baš da svaki dan pišem na engleskom, a Google translator, koliko god da je dobar, kod ovih tradicionalnih stvari baš daje presmešne prevode :D --BuhaM (talk) 10:03, 9 February 2019 (UTC)
