There seems to be a problem regarding the description and/or licensing of this particular file. It has been found that you've added in the image's description only a Template that's not a license and although it provides useful information about the image, it's not a valid license. Could you please resolve this problem, adding the license in the image linked above? You can edit the description page and change the text. Uploading a new version of the file does not change the description of the file. This page may give you more hints on which license to choose. Thank you.

This message was added automatically by Nikbot, if you need some help about it please read the text above again and follow the links in it, if you still need help ask at the ? Commons:Help desk in any language you like to use. --Nikbot 21:56, 4 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I see you added a license that this picture isn't copyrighted because it was made by the police. The way I understand it this does not apply to pictures. Only to text. I think it becomes more clear if you read the Norwegian version of the referenced law paragraph, and not the translated English one.
Unrelated to this, documents related to an ongoing investigation are covered by law as this was not intended to be a publicly published picture, but is a leaked picture from the media from the ongoing investigation. -Laniala (talk) 14:29, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
It's a part of an investigation related to public exercise of authority. Though it is not an official statement, it is confirmed to be taken by the Norwegian State Police Force. PaoloNapolitano (talk) 19:42, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I think you maybe misunderstood me. From my point of view it doesn't really matter if it was the police or the press that took the picture. My opinion is that the Norwegian police is not covered by the referred law paragraph and the image license provided. And independent of this, the image is also part of the evidence of the criminal case, and I'm fairly sure there are laws in Norway that limits what is considered open and free to the public in regards to this.
I have asked for other peoples' opinion on this at no:Wikipedia:Torget as it seems you speak Norwegian. Should it turn out other people consider this to be a free picture there are other versions available of greater resolution that can be uploaded too. -Laniala (talk) 15:50, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
File:Abb politibilder mo 941995i.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Uploading of copyvios[edit]

Hi PaoloNapolitano, in relation to this, I am advising you to read and understand Commons policies relating to our scope and licencing. I would discourage a block at it doesn't comply with the spirit of our blocking policy, but please aware that we do not allow copyright violations on Commons, and repeated uploading of such violations may result in a block. russavia (talk) 02:58, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I apologise. I will try uploading several images which I have taken myself later today. PaoloNapolitano (talk) 16:10, 4 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
