To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

To allow others to use your files, some additional information must be given on the description page. Most importantly:

Describe what it is about in a short sentence. (What does the image show?)
State the author and the date of creation. If you made it yourself, say so explicitly. If it is from another Wikimedia user, link to the person's local user page. Best to use CommonsHelper.
If you did not create the file yourself, state the source you got it from.
Add a copyright tag - images without an appropriate license tag will be deleted.
Add the image to one or more gallery pages and/or appropriate categories, so it can be found by others. To find out where an image belongs, you can use CommonsSense.

Please review our project scope, but in short, Commons is targeted at educational media files including photographs, diagrams, animations, music, spoken text and video clips. Hola, ¿y no podías haber dejado en su momento una conversación tan coherente en alguna de nuestras páginas de discusión en Wikipedia? Ni siquiera estaba claro si no te comunicabas por no entender el idioma español. Al grano, que me brincaré el detallarte lo falso que es eso de "estereotiparte", "condenarte" y "tergiversar": Varias veces te dejamos enlaces sobre la política de páginas de usuario, incluso en la página borrada hay enlaces a los motivos por el que fue borrada. Si aparece "edit" en la página, es decir, un enlace para editar, es porque está permitido que los usuarios editen su página, pero para agregar enlaces útiles en la edición de artículos, o para presentarse, etc. Mira como ejemplo mi página de usuario en Wikipedia, o mi página de usuario en Commons. Después, al haberte bloqueado, se te dejó un mensaje en el que se te avisaba, y se te daba la oportunidad de defender tu bloqueo en la página de discusión, siempre que no abusaras de ese derecho. Y abusaste, al blanquear esa página, como repetidamente lo habías hecho en anteriores ocasiones, retirando los avisos que te habíamos dejado; al hacerlo, se bloqueó tu oportunidad de defenderte ahí, tú te lo buscaste.

Sobre tutoría, pues en este momento ya es complicado porque estás bloqueado, aunque yo siempre estoy dispuesto a aclarar dudas, ya es un poco tarde y creo que Commons no es el medio adecuado... te puedo ofrecer también ayuda en nuestro canal de chat IRC, estoy mucho tiempo ahí y están varios usuarios que te pueden asesorar. Hola de nuevo, con lo de confirmar no sé a qué te refieres, no he preguntado sobre si se te desbloquearía, que creo que no. Luego, ¿dices que es tu descubrimiento? Pues ese es otro problema, porque en Wikipedia no aceptamos contenido que sea una fuente primaria, la información debe ya estar bien establecida en fuentes fiables secundarias, como diarios, libros... Sobre que pagaran para publicarlo, pues mal! Eso confirma que eres una cuenta con propósito particular, te comento que Wikipedia no es un medio para dar a conocer descubrimientos, productos, etc. Lo de que hubo cinco bibliotecarios bloqueando solo indica que tienes la opinión de cinco usuarios veteranos que conocen las políticas, que coincidían en que era contenido inadecuado.

No entiendo qué es lo que deseas borrar. Y por favor, no crees otro usuario ya que eso es evadir un bloqueo, primero busca la manera de dialogar con nosotros para que se te permita editar en caso de ser adecuado, y si se permite, ya podrías registrar otro usuario; si no avisas y evades el bloqueo, te comento que de ser descubierto, se bloquearía también. En inglés veo que la mantienen como Renewable energy in Panamá, un artículo el cual tiene varias deficiencias marcadas con una plantilla naranja arriba; y en fin, lo que sí voy a mandar a borrar allá es tu página de usuario y de discusión, por la misma razón que las de Wikipedia en español, esta vez espero que entiendas la razón ;) Saludos. --UAwiki (talk) 21:49, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

UEwiki: Calculé, me arriesgué y lo confirmé. Lo que digo, puede ser usado en mi contra, como dicen en la televisión.

Lo que te preguntaba era si tienes forma de verificar que el primero que me borró fue un tal igna, y todos los detalles de lo que ocurrió después, incluso que no me dejaban preguntar razones y los alegados bloqueos que informé. Repito, no quiero que lo hagas, solo dime si puedes hacerlo, o solo parcialmente, o si no.

Ahora agrego, qué significa buena fe para los bibliotecarios?

También te informo, que el artículo que mencionas, no expone mi descubrimiento, sino que demuestra algo partiendo de contenidos teóricos conocidos en libros, y totalmente comprensible por personas idóneas. Específicamente, ingenieros, matemáticos y físicos. Creo que esto cumple con lo que quiere wikipedia, para elevar su prestigio. Sobre mi página de usuario en inglés, que no debe molestarte que SI me ayudaron, más bien debes hacer lo mismo, recuerda que ellos inventaron esto y la televisión. Aunque la TV a colores se lo debemos a MÉXICO. Yo corregí la página, y alguien me la revirtió. Nuevamente la corregí, espero que no me la reviertan. Si quieres, además de querer borrar mi información, revisa quién le interesa esa información o quién quiere provocar que la borres.

Si no me entiende un usuario, porque es abogado experto en leyes de wikipedia, por ejemplo, entonces puede borrarme? Un adolescente de secundaria no puede comprenderme. Entiendo que si tengo algún error en estos campos, ellos son los que me interrogarán en la página que para eso está. O no?

Lo que te solicitaba era que, si ya ocharpen en español no puede ser revertido, o usado, que sea totalmente borrado, pues además del castigo aplicado, los que si les interesa mi información, están encontrando en wikipedia una página que solo informa que fue borrada. Hola, de casualidad veo este mensaje, en futuras ocasiones por favor escríbeme en mi página de discusión. Tal como ves en Usuario:Ocharpen (registro completo), el primer usuario en borrarla fue Igna, y te pido que no lo trates como "un tal igna", puede sonar como una falta de respeto hacia uno de nuestros usuarios. Presumir buena fe para los bibliotecarios (y para cualquier usuario) significa seguir lo que dice en Wikipedia:Presume buena fe, y en principio eso hicimos al dejarte los mensajes en tu discusión, presumimos buena fe de que ibas a leerlos... pero también, tal como dice ahí: "Por supuesto, no es lo mismo suponer buena fe que ignorar malas acciones. Si esperas que la gente suponga tu buena fe, asegúrate de demostrarla." Al no leer nuestra política de páginas de usuario a pesar de que te la enlazamos repetidamente, al no explicar el motivo de ese contenido (fuente primaria y en inglés) y en vez de eso borrar los mensajes que te dejábamos en tu discusión, fue que no hubo más alternativa que bloquearte, lástima que sea hasta ahora que te comunicas.

Sobre exponerme tus motivos con el texto me pareció adecuado, no estuvo mal aunque después "se haya usado en tu contra", es mejor dejar tus intenciones claras. Sobre que expones un descubrimiento basado en contenidos teóricos disponibles, te comento que sigue siendo una investigación original, o sea, es como si las personas expusieran en Wikipedia el resultado de una tesis universitaria, sencillamente no es el objetivo de la enciclopedia. Ahora que si se desea adaptar la información a un contenido de artículo enciclopédico, debe haber sido contrastada en fuentes secundarias (en inglés); es decir, ya debe estar la información sobre "oceanogenic power" bien registrada en diarios y libros (de autores diferentes a ti); no solo la información en la que se basa el descubrimiento debe estar en esas fuentes, sino que el propio descubrimiento debe estar ahí.

Sobre que te ayudaron en Renewable energy in Panamá, pues más o menos, que tiene varios problemas como ves arriba en la plantilla color naranja, el principal es "This article may contain original research." Es decir, que creo que primero debería corregirse eso antes de plantearnos que se corrija y se traduzca tu texto en español. Sobre lo de que si podemos borrarte, en caso de que te refieras a estos mensajes que te dejamos, me temo que no, no es adecuado borrar los avisos que dejan otros usuarios en las páginas de discusión.
