Revert[edit]

Could you please provide a rational for your revert? Cheers. Noieraieri (talk) 15:31, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes. ¦ Reisio (talk) 16:12, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, this is a step forward. Please provide it. (note: although I can appreciate sarcasm, it's not what I've asked for). Noieraieri (talk) 18:01, 17 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit made little sense, and since you are (almost certainly) a user from it.wikipedia.org, and/or it was your very first edit here, it stinks to high heaven of a cornucopia of other mislead zealous edits that have been made to and over this particular file and its origins. Furthermore Commons' "international aim" is about a promotion of all languages, and not a conformity to English alone; PMS is a very well known initialism in the realm of flags and color and does not exclusively apply to polyester. ¦ Reisio (talk) 07:54, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Reisio, no matter how much you love Italian language you should keep in mind that less than 1% of people can understand it. Concerning PMS, I would love to point you that the first result of the first search you propose point to a page on premestrual syndrome. To articulate on the polyestere, that's not a limitation of the Pantone scale of course, but it is specified in the law itself (as copied in the talk page of the image). I'm not even going to comment on my purposed stink: you are commenting on my aim (actually your own paranoia about my aim -- I've no idea referring to what) instead of my argumentation, I have to ask you to stick to the discussion topic and AGF. I'll wait a couple of days to see if you can provide some real argument, that does not involve bogus google searches nor personal attacks, then I'll revert your edit. Noieraieri (talk) 09:25, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Do whatever you like. :p There are only a few possible reasons your first edit here is to that file, and they all reflect badly on you. ¦ Reisio (talk) 11:00, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've just been surprised of finding several, apparently identical, versions of the Italian flag and read (actually, skimmed) the discussion pages. They are there for that, you know. Noieraieri (talk) 11:00, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you'd even merely skimmed the discussion pages, and had any sense at all, you would never have made such an edit; and out of all these apparently identical versions of the Italian flag, you started with this one? Give me a break. :p ¦ Reisio (talk) 22:04, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I know the difference between a gif, a png and a svg, this reduces the choice to three flags. One is the "standard" one, that follows the naming convention of all the others countries; the third one (File:Flag_of_Italy_(2003_colors).svg) does not have a discussion page, but its meaning is clearly explained in the description. The second one (the one I wanted to rename) was not clear to me, hence I read the discussion. To be honest, I didn't even notice it used grey instead of white before. Well, considered that you are not willing to discuss, but only to accuse me of some being in bad faith, I'm just going to revert your edit. Noieraieri (talk) 02:59, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If "flag of the Republic of Italy" in Italian, a specification of the use of the Pantone Matching System colors, and a date in ISO format along with the "Source" links and the discussion text you claim to have skimmed is not clear to you, I'm not sure what possibly could be. ¦ Reisio (talk) 14:41, 20 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
