White House photo

I don't know if you saw the comment on the photo's page, and I should have put this on your talk page sooner, but one of your photos, File:North Façade White House.JPG, which I later touched up, is now used on the new whitehouse.com. They have since taken it off the photo shuffle on the home page, but it is still used on the history page. You have it up as public domain, perhaps one of the reasons it was picked, so I don't know what you can do about it, but be proud!--Patrick «» 04:04, 9 February 2009 (UTC)

Hello, Sorry for spaming your talk page, but this is very important. On the behalf of the Wikiproject medicine at the en.wikipedia, I am inviting you to be a part of the discussion going on the project's talk page about Patient images, The discussion started after I obtained a permission to more than 23000 dermatology related images, and about 1500 radiology images. As some editors of the Wikiproject medicine have some concerns regarding the policy of using patient images on wikipedia, and regarding patient consents. inactivity

I'm sorry to inform you but I made a request for removal of your administrator rights here on Commons. Today started the new inactivity run and you where listed, because you where listed as inactive last run also the policy says your rights need to be removed.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
