There seems to be a problem regarding the description and or licensing of this particular file. Could you please resolve these problems, which are described on the page linked in above? Thank you.--Orgullomoore

Hello. The problem is that you haven't specified a license. Since it is your own work, you get to pick which license. See Commons:Licensing, pick the one you like best, and place the corresponding template on the image description, linked in the title of this section.--Orgullomoore 20:31, 12 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. You can request the deletion of the file in question because it has been replaced by another one using the template {{Bad name}}. To do so, in the image description, place {{bad name|Correct name}}.--Orgullomoore 01:47, 13 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Miscellaneous drawings[edit]

What's the purpose of scanning in random pages from your artistic sketchbook? AnonMoos 15:21, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikimedia Commons is for images that have educational or informational value, and could be eligible for inclusion in one or more wikiprojects. These rules are sometimes bent a little bit -- but when you post a miscellaneous unsorted heap of pencil sketches from your notebooks, you're bending the rules more than usual. Commons:Community Portal is linked from most pages on the site, and has prominent link to Commons:Project scope, which you can peruse... AnonMoos 03:17, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Only admins can actually delete image files. The main discussion page is Commons:Deletion requests . There are sometimes streamlined ways to request the deletion of files uploaded by oneself, but I'm not sure what that would be in this particular case. AnonMoos 13:21, 22 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I looked and looked on the special pages and found nothing that says what exactly is appropriate for Wiki Commons. I could use a second advice to make sure removing the drawingsis appropriate. I just want to make sure they are not relevant here before I do it. If so, I would like very much to know what other site could be interested in hosting public domain stuff. I also suggest that you upload your images that aren't immeadiately appropriate on any particular Wikimedia site to an external site. Flickr should be perfect for you. You could then link to your flickr page from your Commons page so that people can search for illustrations there and only upload the ones they need to Commons.--Orgullomoore 19:09, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image deletion warning Category:HV has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this image, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. If the file is up for deletion because it has been superseded by a superior derivative of your work, consider the notion that although the file may be deleted, your hard work (which we all greatly appreciate) lives on in the new file.
In all cases, please do not take the deletion request personally. It is never intended as such. Thank you!
