Dinosaur images[edit]
Hello Nakarius!
Thank you for your image contributions of dinosaurs! Very fine and interesting images! I hope more will come from you to Commons. Would be great! Greetings, High Contrast (talk) 11:59, 3 July 2012 (UTC)
Hello!
Thank you for uploading File:Dry Mesa Quarry.jpg to the Wikimedia Commons. I noticed that when you uploaded from another Wikimedia project, you left out some important information, or copied it incorrectly. In the future, please consider using CommonsHelper, a tool which automates the process of moving files over. Thank you,

File:Allosaurus europaeus def.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Hi Nekarius, could you please state in the DR discussion for how long the image would need to "disappear". --Túrelio (talk) 17:25, 1 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Turelio! I believe the problem is solve as I could download another version of the illustration of Allosaurus europaeus, following the authorization I got from a colleague. Many thanks anyway.--Christophe Hendrickx (talk) 23:29, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
- Hi Nekarius, if the drawing was created by Simao Mateus, you need to correct the author entry on the description page and you need to forward the mentioned permission to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org (OTRS). See also my earlier reply on my talkpage. --Túrelio (talk) 08:51, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Various dinosaurs[edit]
Hi, thanks for the dinosaur images (including those in open access papers!), I noticed there are some nice images in this[1] collage, is there a chance they could be uploaded individually in full res? FunkMonk (talk) 12:53, 13 March 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Funkmonk,
- Deeply sorry for replying with such delay, and thank you very much for uploading your work on Phylopic. You must have noticed that I used one of them for the publication, omitting to thank you for this in the acknowledgements (cfr. Comments on http://www.plosone.org/article/comments/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pone.0088905). I can certainly upload each photos of the illustration you are referring to. Just give me a couple of days to deal with this because I have a bunch of thing to do for the moment!
- Many thanks also for all the photos you have uploaded on Wikipedia, very helpful indeed.
- Best regards,
- --Christophe Hendrickx (talk) 16:12, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
- No problem, it's cool to have stuff published, and I can honestly say I don't care much about credit when it comes to such use, hehe. FunkMonk (talk) 16:49, 30 March 2014 (UTC)
Copyright status: File:Great Hall Witwatersrand.JPG[edit]
This media may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading File:Great Hall Witwatersrand.JPG. I notice that the file page either doesn't contain enough information about the license or it contains contradictory information about the license, so the copyright status is unclear.
If you created this file yourself, then you must provide a valid copyright tag. For example, you can tag it with {{self|GFDL|cc-by-sa-all}} to release it under the multi-license GFDL plus Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike All-version license or you can tag it with {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. (See Commons:Copyright tags for the full list of license tags that you can use.) If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there. Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you. |
