File:Michael Laucke with Andres Segovia -PBS TV at Met Museum NY.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |

Regarding your work on the Laucke-PBS photograph: Well done, well done indeed. Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 03:19, 19 October 2015 (UTC) |
@GrammarFascist and Checkingfax: Hello GrammarFascist Thank you so much for your due diligence in the matter of photo undeletion on Commons (copied below), and for withdrawing the delete request nomination. I think that photo will be a nice addition to my article on the beautiful classical and flamenco guitar and atonal music for this noble instrument. Could you tell me the steps to follow to go about participating in creating an OTRS ticket for this image, or any eligible image for that matter, to prevent reoccurance of the misunderstanding that happened. Thanks once again; much appreciated. best wishes, Natalie --Natalie.Desautels (talk) 04:34, 20 October 2015 (UTC)
It does appear that Mr. Laucke owns the rights to the photo, and that he licensed it in a way appropriate for its use on Commons (and Wikipedia). However, since Commons is populated with many users who prefer to tag images for deletion when there is any conceivable cause for doubt, it might be best to see if Mr. Laucke would participate in creating an OTRS ticket for this image. Having a ticket in place on the file would forestall all but the most ridiculous deletion nominations. —GrammarFascist (<span class="signature-talk"></span>) 20:35, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
Michael Laucke, again
Please see Commons:Village_pump/Copyright#Pictures_of_Michael_Lauke. - Jmabel ! talk 18:02, 6 November 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks for your diligence to make improve Wikipedia. You will notice that all photos have the following notice from Flickr, the source from which they are derived.
- "Note for copyright purposes, this photo was taken by either an employee of, or by a photographer hired by Michael Laucke. It is a work for hire, owned and paid for by Michael Laucke. It is hereby licensed under Public Domain Dedication (CC0); ALL RIGHTS WAIVED!"
- I trust everything is in order. Please confirm. Thank you once again. --Natalie.Desautels (talk) 19:42, 6 November 2015 (UTC)

File tagging File:Flamenco road.flac
This media may be deleted.
|
Thanks for uploading File:Flamenco road.flac. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the No permission since tag with on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.
Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own). Warning: unless the permission information is given, the file may be deleted after seven days. Thank you. |
Túrelio (talk) 08:32, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Túrelio: I received an email to the effect that the owner of the two files (Flamenco road.flac and Entre-dos-aguas-laucke-version-sample.flac), Michael Laucke, has sent the appropriate email to OTRS, and has made note of the copyright permissions on the discussion page of each item as well. My present concern is that the OTRS email said it could take some time, so I hope my files will not be deleted in the interim. Thanks very much for your good work at Wikipedia, helping make it better. all my very best wishes, Natalie --Natalie.Desautels (talk) 11:35, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- There is indeed some risk that this may happen, as the OTRS queue is currently crowded. Please add OTRS pending to all image pages which are covered by this permission. This may prevent premature deletion. --Túrelio (talk) 19:50, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Túrelio: Many thanks once again, this time for the excellent tip about adding OTRS pending. I will certainly attend to this as it promises to be a time and hassle saver. Again, congratulations on helping make Wikipedia better, and safer. very best wishes, Natalie --Natalie.Desautels (talk) 21:58, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
