First steps tutorial

Our first steps help file and our FAQ will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy. You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold contributing here and assume good faith for the intentions of others. This is a wiki ‒ it is really easy.

Getting help

More information is available at the Community Portal. You may ask questions at the Help desk, Village Pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (direct access). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at Commons talk:Licensing.

Goodies, tips and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your Graphics abilities.
  • All your uploads are stored in your personal Gallery
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~
  • Use the CommonSense tool to find good categories for your files (then other people can find them too!)
  • To link to an image page, write this: [[:Image:Foo.jpg]], it makes this: Image:Foo.jpg
  • If you're copying files from another project, be sure to use the CommonsHelper

Hm, još nešto, dio tvojih slika sam već stavila u članke na Wikipediji na hrvatskom jeziku, ali na većini slika nedostaju opisi, pa bih te zamolila da ih nadopuniš opisima ili ih sam postaviš u odgovarajuće članke, jer nažalost nisam za sve sigurna gdje bi ih mogla uvrstiti. Uh, o Starom Zrinu ima gotovo ništa, tj. barem ja nemam nikakve literature pomoću koje bih mogla nešto napisati. U svakom slučaju, molim te uvijek napiši opis slike da znam što predstavlja, a svakako bi bilo dobro dodati i odgovarajuću kategoriju. S vremena na vrijeme pogledam tvoje fotografije i dodam kategorije, no nije problem ni ako mi ostaviš poruku na mojoj suradničkoj stranici da si postavio novih slika da pogledam, jer na commonsu radim usput. Jesi li se kad spajao na IRC? Bilo bi dobro kada biš nas koji put posjetio na #wikipedia-hr, uvijek kad radim na Wikipediji, prisutna sam i na tom kanalu. Svakako pokušaj da malo i popričamo. Pozdrav. Upravo gledam ovu sliku ispod koje piše da si ti autor "I, Modzzak, the copyright holder of this work". Ne bi mi bilo ništa čudno da tu sliku nisam ja slikao starim mobitelom i postavio je na commonse kao prvu inačicu slike Image:Hrvatski sabor.jpg [1] Osobno mi nije problem što si je potpisao kao svoju, ali ne znam u čemu je problem potpisati moje suradničko ime kao autora. Bok Suradnice, ispricavam ti se! Sabor ti nije bio na commonsima a trebao mi je za njemacku WP. Nisam znao na brzino tehnicki kako izvesti s tvojim imenom, jer mogu samo vikendom cackati po wikiju. Ako hoces mogu staviti sa se zbrise pa ponovo ga ti stavi gore. Inace, moje slika radim za usput na proputovanju i sve su slike moj poklon svim onima koji koji to zele, a osobno me ne zanima bar kod mojih slika dali pise modzzak ili bilo sto. Ma ok, nije problem. Do prije godinu dana je bilo malo slika iz Hrvatske na commonsima, pa smo se nekolicina nas suradnika uhvatila fotoaparata. Malo sam gledao tvoju galeriju i vidim da si uvijek korak ispred mene :) Baš sam mislio ići slikati Ozalj, Krašić i taj dio, kad vidim da si ti već sve fotografirao :) Malo sam samo rekategorizirao slike i ispravljao opise tvojih slika, npr. spomenik u Zagrebu nije Heinzel već Holjevac i sl.
