Uploading pictures in Wikipedia

Hi, I got an email stating that the picture I've uploaded will be removed. I'm just very confused. I tried looking at the various license/permissions that are available but I don't know how to obtain those permission? And may I know what pictures/photos can be uploaded and what cannot? No screenshots? What if those are photos which I've taken?

Dear Createsparks, Wikimedia Commons accepts only free content. to undrestand what kind of images you can upload to commons please read Commons:Image casebook. You can freely upload photos taken by yourself which are fit to Commons project scope
The IMA simulation Screenshot comes from Honda Malaysia (Terms) website and it is actually a copyright violation, except you have writen permission from "HONDA MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. Here is a guid on how you can ask for permission from the copyright holder: Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission, you can also find some request examples here: Wikipedia:Example requests for permission.

Copyright violation tagged images *

Hi,

You tagged several of my images as a copyright violation. These photos and screenshots have been released with a CC-by-sa-3.0 licence by Novacom Services, the current owner of the software. A written copy of the permissions have been emailed to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Please, if you have any doubt, contact Novacom Services (http://www.novacom-services.com) for a confirmation.

Maybe, another time you could talk to the uploader before tagging all images with copyright violation, people would appreciate that for sure. If some additional information is needed, simply tell this to the uploader before tagging or deleting files, everyone can do mistakes.

missing source information *

Hi.

You tagged an image of mina as missing essential information. I dont really understand what other info is needed, I took this image myself as stated under image info. But it still says that info is missing.

Unfortunately I can't understand German language and I use Google Translate, to translate websites to english, the page you provided says: "All photos available for private and commercial purposes, specifying the copyright Airport Nuremberg used freely." but there is another page which say: "If you have to publish certain photographs, you need a permit from the press office of the Nuremberg Airport."

I think I figured out my own problem. I uploaded in the wrong place. Very sorry. I get it now. Wikimedia Commons is not Wikipedia.

I'm a new user and I'm not "autoconfirmed".

That's how I got all confused. I'll wait a week and try to upload an image to Wikipeida.

Ah Ha. Also see another reason for copyright violation.

I also just realized that I probably can't post the image with all the logos of the Charities and Associations. For example, I had Purdue University and Shrine logos ... combined/collated into an image.

I'll bet I'm not allow to post those myself.

Anyway, I'll study the copyright guidelines again for Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons.

Your image seems to me a bunch of copyrighted logos, Well if this image have a corresponding article in some other wikimedia project (like: English Wikipedia) and this image is really needed you have two ways to upload them, you may be able to upload them in English wikipedia under Fair use policy or you can upload them in Commons ONLY if they are released by the original owner to use freely because Wikimedia Commons only accept free content.
You are right, as you are a new user you are not able to upload files in English Wikipedia until you get confirmed, and to get confirmed your account should be more than 4 Days old and you should at least have 10 edits.
Anyway I see you are learning very fast, please spend more time and read the guidelines carefully. here are some useful links for you:

Hey Mmxx, you ve seen some note at the source, that you have to ask somebody in respect of the pix. That ´s just if you like to shoot fotos at the airport yourself; that sounds reasonable at a airport - the uploaded pictures already existing are under free license and you dont have to ask the press office if you want to use them. Hey, thank you for your efforts in getting templates properly categorized. However, please keep in mind that Hotcat isn't yet properly working on categories. I have contact to all the enterprises and they agree the use of this logo in the poster. Another question that you says is that the images in commons must be free (http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Choosing_a_license#Common_free_licenses) but i say that this image doesn't fit this rules: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Sun_Microsystems_logo.svg In conclusion, there is any solution to include this image?

Well That's on English Wikipedia, they have different rules, some of local Wikipedia projects allows fair use but Commons not. The SUN logo uploaded at Wikipedia under fair use Fair use policy. If I understand you correctly, you want upload this album cover somehow that it doesn't get deleted. Am I right? Well, you can not upload it in anyway in Wikimedia Commons, Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content, for more information about what is accepted at Commons please see: Commons:Image casebook and Commons:Licensing. Hello, I know your intention was good but unfortunately Wikimedia Commons dose not allow copyrighted files, the images that you uploaded appear to be taken from TV or some website but surly they all have some authors, so when you are uploading such items which didn't created by you, you should first ask the original creator for permission for using their materials.
