Re:Termites polymorphism[edit]

Hi, I apologize that but I don't know. Some images were sent me by an user of it.wiki, it:Utente:Piero_Sagnibene, who hasn't an account in Commons. He gave me some scanning from old books and notified about the source, but I couldn't verify if the sources were really correct. Some years ago I found that this user has done some copyright violations in it.wiki. If you suspect that also this picture is a possible copyviol please start an instance of removal. I don't contribute more in wikimedia projects. --gian_d (talk) 23:43, 25 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mithril, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:

  • Use the CommonsDelinker link in the {{Rename}} template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one. Or, if there was no rename-request, please use the Move & Replace-tab.
  • Please leave a redirect behind unless you have a valid reason not to do so. Other projects, including those using InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references. Please see this section of the file rename guideline for more information.
  • Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.
Happy moving! :) --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 01:25, 8 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Mithril I use commons uploader where PD US is the only tag available. I thought it meant under USA law not published in USA but I really have no idea. What is the appropriate tag please.I'll use it as well.Just to be sure All the best Notafly (talk) 16:20, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

One of PD-old templates can be appropriate here if we get to know what is the date of death of the painter. Note that the painter is neither Gustav Weymer nor Peter Maassen: “A. Weyding del.” can be seen at the bottom. I didn't succeed in looking for the years of life of August Weyding. Mithril (talk) 18:08, 3 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Not really a painter (at least here) but an illustrator for this work Lepidopteren by Alphons Stübel Lepidopteren gesammelt auf einer Reise durch Colombia, Ecuador, Perú, Brasilien, Argentinien und Bolivien in den Jahren 1868-1877 von Alphons Stübel ; bearbeitet von Gustav Weymer und Peter Maassen Published 1890 by A. Asher in Berlin .Surely the 1890 copyright resided with the publisher. Best regards Robert aka Notafly (talk) 20:53, 13 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
