Goodies, tips, and tricks Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities. You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads. Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Parallelism

I see you continue drawing wonderfull 3-view aircraft svg pictures. I'm affraid that eventually we'd work on the same airvraft. To avid it, I'll send you allways the drawings I am working on. There is a curious phenomenon in the high resolution version of your Fokker D.VIII 3-view.svg. On the tail of the side-view I see a black triangel, which changes area and shape, when I try to move it with the mouse cursor. Just joined the team

Hello MLWatts,

i just joined the WikiProject Aviation on Commons. Sorry for my late response but my two little children absorb most of my time. I'm afraid this might also be my most serious problem as a member of the project: my time is very limited (at least at the moment). I try to keep on working at my drawings and i load up new or improved ones from time to time. But unfortunately it is not possible for me to work for the project on a regular basis. But if there are any questions about profiling or if there are any needs concerning drawings of certain aircraft i certainly will be trying to help.

Vedi anche Commons:OTRS/it. L'autorizzazione deve essere data da chi detiene i diritti attualmente. Ti faccio notare che questo è un passaggio obbligatorio e andava fatto prima di pubblicizzare la partnership o anche solo di progettarla. Ora lo sai e ti risparmierai seccature in futuro. Ah non ce n'è nemmeno bisogno, potete scrivere ad esempio "tutte le immagini del museo" o della collezione X, o ancora "tutte le immagini caricate dagli utenti X, Y e Z", insomma trovare la formula che più preferite, purché le immagini già caricate siano ovviamente coperte dall'autorizzazione. Ri-ciao, stamattina Iolanda Pensa mi diceva che esiste una versione in inglese del tuo case study e siccome lei deve fare l'articoletto mensile per la newsletter internazionale dei GLAM, ci chiedevamo se ce la fai a scrivere due righe in inglese appunto per presentarlo, sintetizzarlo e linkarlo. Hi MLWatts, I just came across File:WikiCommonsWings.png. Great idea for incorporation into a barnstar. Are you able to somehow incorporate the "lines" in File:Wikiwings2.png into the wings of the CommonsWings? Also, it might best be done if it was an SVG file as well do you think? I have a few people whom I wished to give some barnstars to in the near future. I think we could adopt these as COM:AVIATION barnstars of course. russavia (talk) 23:37, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

WikiProject Aviation now on Twitter

Wiki Loves Monuments France 2019

Bonjour,

Le concours Wiki Loves Monuments France est de retour et ouvert jusqu'à 31 septembre ! Déjà 8310 photos ont été importés cette année, vous aussi rejoignez le concours !

Le concours concerne tous les monuments présents dans la base Mérimée (qu'ils soient classés, inscrits ou simplement classés). De l'imposant château aux ruines industrielles, de la chapelle au coin de la rue aux mégalithes en forêt, c'est un impressionnant patrimoine qui attend d'être photographié et documenté. Où que vous soyez il y a des monuments autour de chez vous. Enfin, vous pouvez mettre en ligne autant de photos que vous le souhaitez de ces monuments. Pour information, le règlement est disponible sur le site du concours. Nous attendons vos photos avec impatience !

Les plus belles photos seront sélectionnées par un jury national composé d'amateurs et de professionnels, de contributeurs à Wikimedia Commons et d'acteurs du patrimoine. Un jury international sélectionnera ensuite des meilleures photographies mondiales.

Si vous avez des questions, l'équipe organisatrice se fera un plaisir d'y répondre.

Le concours Wiki Loves Monuments France est ouvert pour une semaine encore, jusqu'au 30 septembre. Déjà plus de 6 000 photos ont été importées cette année alors vous aussi rejoignez le concours ! Cette campagne de contribution concerne tous les monuments et objets mobiliers présents dans la base Mérimée et dans la base Palissy. De l'imposant château aux ruines industrielles, de la verrière décorative au reliquaire, c'est un impressionnant patrimoine qui attend d'être photographié et documenté.
