Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks

Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
There are several tools to upload files.
Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.

Made a mistake?

Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.
Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

Hi Lilzlulz, No worries and I apologise for the way I had been with you, I can understand why you had become defensive as I think anyone would be freaked out by logging on here to see their file being used everywhere so I can understand, File thumbnails can be hidden from public view (so only admins can see them) so that might help a bit,

I certainly have no problems with you nor am I trying to "shame" you by trying to have the image retained - I'm just someone who sees potential in an image and tries keeping it retained so please don't take my comments or my !vote personally as like I say it's purely Commons not you. It does look like it was put here first. We'll that's a bummer. Is there any way we could replace the file with another one? This one is on the wiki and was the original before mine.

@Davey2010: I went ahead and changed all the images mine was on to the other one. I don't really see any harm since they both show the same thing. Hopefully this will settle things. Please don't do that again otherwise you could be blocked. Any IPs or accounts you create can be found and blocked. Unfortunately there's not much you can do in regards to the file or its usage - Once the picture is revision-deleted your face wont be seen by anyone. Incorrect. The file is in use and depicts something we don't have many images of. At this point Lilz your only best option from this point forward is to scramble your password, log out of Commons and forget this place and forget the image because unfortunately the image wont ever be deleted and sadly no matter how hard you try it just wont be deleted I'm afraid. If you say so I was just trying to help you guys. I showed you where I found it. In all honestly that isn't even me, I found the article and posted the image. Hi Lilzlulz - I know that you maintain that you are not the person depicted in the photo File:Adult baby wearing diaper.jpg and that you just found it online, but you offered a higher resolution image than could be found elsewhere and the timestamp on the photo predates any of the articles on this subject out there. This strongly points to the conclusion that you are somehow associated with this picture.

If it is the case that you are the person depicted in this photograph, which seems likely, I'd be grateful if you could share how it was taken. Did you set up the camera on a tripod and set a timer? I did not have anything with the image, it's been posted all over. I tried to find the original article I took it from but failed due to all the copycats. The full resolution image is easy to find due to the one I originally uploaded was thumbnail quality and the "higher resolution" version isn't even really that high resolution considering it looks like it was taken with a decent camera.
