Thanks for uploading File:Disney Rapunzel.jpg. This media is missing permission information. A source is given, but there is no proof that the author or copyright holder agreed to license the file under the given license. Please provide a link to an appropriate webpage with license information, or ask the author or copyright holder to send an email with copy of a written permission to VRT (permissions-commons@wikimedia.org). You may still be required to go through this procedure even if you are the author yourself; please see Commons:But it's my own work! for more details. After you emailed permission, you may replace the {{No permission since}} tag with {{subst:PP}} on file description page. Alternatively, you may click on "Challenge speedy deletion" below the tag if you wish to provide an argument why evidence of permission is not necessary in this case.

Please see this page for more information on how to confirm permission, or if you would like to understand why we ask for permission when uploading work that is not your own, or work which has been previously published (regardless of whether it is your own).

The file probably has been deleted. If you sent a permission, try to send it again after 14 days. Do not re-upload. When the VRT-member processes your mail, the file can be undeleted. Additionally you can request undeletion here, providing a link to the File-page on Commons where it was uploaded ([[:File:Disney Rapunzel.jpg]]) and the above demanded information in your request.

Rapunzel image[edit]

I'm just trying to clarify what the images you're uploading are. Based on your descriptions on the prior uploads, I'm inclined to believe this is a cell image from the Disney animated film Rapunzel. Is that correct? Tabercil (talk) 23:20, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No, it is a drawing I made. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leroy30 (talk • contribs)

  • If you take a photo of someone else's drawing, it is not your own work. If you draw something yourself, but copying the work of someone else's copyrighted character, the copyright remains with the original creator/copyright holder, and your drawing cannot be free licensed except with the explicit permission of the copyright holder. See Commons:Derivative works. Hope this helps. -- Infrogmation (talk) 23:49, 8 March 2009 (UTC)We[reply]

I don´t really understand why my last drawing of the Brothers Grimm character Rapunzel has just been deleted. Because there´s no such a version of the Disney movie since the movie is being shot at the moment in a mix of 2D-3D nobody has already seen.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rapunzel_(film)

And I don´t think any company owns the copyright of The Brothers Grimm books, by the way. http://www.literaturepage.com/read/grimms-fairy-tales.html

Erase the previews pics if desired, but keep the last one.

You are right, Disney doesn't own Rapunzel, but it's own the concept you copied. Rapunzel is a public domain character/story. You can draw her, but not based on Disney's version or someone else. What you did was a derivate work. Mizunoryu 大熊猫❤小熊猫 (talk) 14:41, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

May I see the Disney version I copied? Yes, I guess you mean both are long blonde haired girls. Whatever. Remember my drawing when the Disney version comes out. Good luck.

On it's description you clearly said it was based on Disney's character. But if you really don't agree with it's deletion you can resquest a Commons:Undeletion requests. So the community can analyse it better and you put your POV. Sorry for any inconvenience and for upseting you. Mizunoryu 大熊猫❤小熊猫 (talk) 01:16, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
