First steps tutorial

Our first steps tour and our frequently asked questions will help you a lot after registration. They explain how to customize the interface (for example the language), how to upload files and our basic licensing policy (Wikimedia Commons only accepts free content).

You don't need technical skills in order to contribute here. Be bold when contributing and assume good faith when interacting with others. This is a wiki.

Getting help

More information is available at the community portal. You may ask questions at the help desk, village pump or on IRC channel #wikimedia-commons (webchat). You can also contact an administrator on their talk page. If you have a specific copyright question, ask at the copyright village pump.

Goodies, tips, and tricks
  • Put Babel boxes on your user page so others know what languages you can speak and indicate your graphic abilities.
  • You can find the files you have uploaded in your Uploads.
  • Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~.
  • To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg.
  • You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account.
  • There are several tools to upload files.
  • Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful.
Made a mistake?
  • Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it.

Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Украинские корветы[edit]

Здравствуйте!

Вы, специалист ВМС Украины, знаете, как назывались украинские корветы U209 «Сумы» и U210 «Херсон», когда ещё они были советские корабли?

Я искал компьютером и нашёл, почему-то, два варианта;

  1. U209 «Сумы» — МПК-52; U210 «Херсон» — МПК-43;
  2. U209 «Сумы» — МПК-43; U210 «Херсон» — МПК-52;

Что правильно?

Есть такие изображения МПК-52, корветов «Сумы» и «Херсон». Я хочу создать категорию, как Category:Corvette Ternopil, Category:Aukštaitis (F12) и т.д.

Если вы знаете информацию этих кораблей, то помогите, пожалуйста.

  • Добрый день. Согласно официальному справочнику ВМС Украины Заблоцкого и Костриченко, с. 15-16:
    • Корвет "Сумы", ранее МПК-43, в советское время имел имя - "Одесский Комсомолец"
    • Корвет "Херсон" ранее МПК-52, в советское время имел № 712.

Здравствуйте!

Наконец-то я разобрался в проблеме и почитал эту книгу. А тогда у меня появились еще некотрые вопросы.

  • Это "официальный" справочник? Почему на русском языке написано?
    • U155 «Нікополь» и U156 «Кременчук» в ВМСУ классифицированы как ракетные катера? Сегодня они считаются корветами (или ударными корветами). Мне кажется, что в этом справочнике классификация кораблей очень похожа на ту в ВМФ России.
    • Автор пишет, как «Тернопіль» и «Запорізька Січ» один корабль (имели б/н U202). Это правда? Я сам думал и везде так читал, что недавно «Тернопіль» (б/н U209, бывший U202) построился в Киеве и еще один корвет строится (уже списан?) там и он же «Запорізька Січ».
  • У меня еще такой источник есть: "Виталий Васильевич Костриченко. «Альбатрос» дозорный в море. История кораблей проекта 1124 - Москва, 2005. ISBN 5-90286З-D4-Х". Конечно, возможно, что россияне (кстати Костриченко россиянин?) что-то плохо знают о ВМСУ, но... вообще говоря, мне кажется, что этот источник достоверный (по крайней мере не хуже, чем справочник ВМС Украины). Я не понимаю, почему Костриченко разную имформацию пишет... Эта книга более новая (изд. 2005 г.), чем справочник ВМС Украины (изд. 1998 г.), поэтому, может быть, что-то новую имформацию он нашел...?

  • Извините, достаточно долго не посещал эту страницу. Относительно того, что Вы спрашиваете: U155 «Нікополь» и U156 «Кременчук» - в украинском флоте переклассифицированы в корветы, а ранее считались большими ракетными катерами. Корабли такого же типа в российском флоте именуются ракетными катерами. Просто в ВМС Украины принята западная классификация типов кораблей, а в России еще до сих пор пользуются советской. По второму вопросу - пока что затрудняюсь Вам ответить. Чесно говоря, я недостаточно хорошо разбираюсь в современных корабля, потому что занимаюсь почти исключительно только кораблями эпохи пара и брони...Но я попробую уточнить.--KaiserAdler (talk) 16:07, 13 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Нормально, я тоже не каждый день занимаюсь викискладом, иногда долго не занимался. А я большое спасибо Вам за помощи. Да, у меня больше нет имформации. Везде что-то пишут, но мне совсем не понятно, кто вернее... Под таким обстоятельством мне Вы много помогаете.

Бывшие большие РКА еще именовались как РКА в ВМС Украины в 1998 году, когда опубликовали данный справочник? В справочнике написано, что они РКА, как и катера пр. 206-МР (но уже они не "большие", а написано просто "ракетные катера"), несмотря на то, что МПК уже именуются корветами и СКР также фрегатами.

Может быть, сначала катера пр. 1241 в ВМСУ тоже считались РКА, как в ВМФ СССР и России. Или просто классификация что-то расстроилась в ВМСУ, так как сами ВМСУ еще только что создали (официально) в 1997 году.
