Hi, I see that you "closed" the poll for my picture on the Featured picture candidates list. I just want to know if you find this picture or any picture here good enough. Just take a quick look, I don't want you to waste your time for this. Kindest regards, --Viscontino (talk) 14:13, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi. I didn't close the poll, I think some bot did that (I'm not really familiar with the exact voting procedure). All I did was give one negative vote for the reasons given.
About your pictures: I'm not sure I can help you a lot there. I haven't found the confidence to submit a single one of my pictures yet. I see many good pictures in your list, however, I personally wouldn't consider any of them to be excellent enough for a FP. But as others might think differently about this, there's nothing wrong with trying (I guess). --Julian H. (talk/files) 18:37, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi Julian, thanks for your correction which looks fantastic. With your permit I upload your version on the file? How did you do it without changing the hue of the sky, do you use a mask? Best regards --Wolfgang Moroder (talk) 10:02, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Thanks. Yes, feel free to upload it over your version. I created a mask, which worked well since the greyscale-values of the sky and the ground are almost non-overlapping. --Julian H. (talk/files) 10:05, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

How do you edit the picture

Hello! I found you edited the photo "China - Russia Railway.jpg" and now it's much better than before. I am very curious about how do you do that. I am not very good at editing pictures. Could you teach me?--Jack No1 (中文/English) (talk) 23:40, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

I'm glad I could help. Pretty much all I did was open it in Gimp, go to Colours/Curves where you see the histogram in the background and adjust the brightness curve so that it uses the complete range from dark to bright. --Julian H. (talk/files) 06:13, 14 June 2012 (UTC)
Oh! It's extremely lunky for me that I use Gimp as well instead of Photoshop. I have successfully found that function easily.:) Thank you for your help! In fact, I took this photo behind a piece of glass. As a result, something bad happened to my picture... --Jack No1 (中文/English) (talk) 05:02, 15 June 2012 (UTC)

FP-voting

Hallo, bitte ändere Dein Voting hier Commons:Featured_picture_candidates/File:Stanford_Memorial_Church_May_2011_HDR.jpg auf {{support|weak support}} weil sonst Deine Stimme gestrichen wird. Ein {{weak support}} ist ungültig. Grüße, --Alchemist-hp (talk) 11:14, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Alles klar, vielen Dank für den Hinweis. Dann lasse ich das in Zukunft. --Julian H. (talk/files) 12:04, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Autopatrol given

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. INeverCry 16:35, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Thank you very much for the trust, I hope to never disappoint. --Julian H. (talk/files) 16:37, 5 November 2012 (UTC)
