Stop messing with File:British Isles - UK & Ireland.png[edit]

The flag you've been trying to add arguably has not been the official governmentally-recognized flag of Northern Ireland since 1973, and publicly displaying it in some contexts in some parts of Northern Ireland would be considered an act of provocation or incitement. Given this, your changes to the image are not required or "correct". Therefore you should upload your file version as a separate image with a distinct name, according to the policy COM:OVERWRITE. -- AnonMoos (talk) 05:14, 25 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop talking nonsense. I actually live here in Northern Ireland it's still flown by local government today and represents all our Commonwealth Games, football teams, golfers etc. etc.. Please stop your censoring things you don't understand.Jonto (talk) 21:09, 1 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
It's flown by some local authorities, while others wouldn't touch it with a 10-foot pole. It has a historical legacy of use which continues in some contexts, but that doesn't change the fact that it's not currently fully official at the central government level, and that it can be perceived as an intensely partisan and divisive symbol. In any case, you are in violation of Wikimedia Commons policy COM:OVERWRITE. If you are not prepared to abide by Commons policies, then please take your act to some other site. The England flag isn't "fully official at central government level" either yet gets included. I am not in violation of anything and will not kowtow to ignorant bullies such as yourself. Jonto (talk) 10:25, 13 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The difference between the red hand flag and the flag of England is that the flag of England never had its status revoked. If it goes to COM:AN/U, we'll see who is considered more of a bully... AnonMoos (talk) 23:06, 23 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

File:St. Patrick's Day greetings.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!
