Looking to get SVGs of your charts[edit]

Hi Jodi, I noticed some uploads like File:Deletion process on English Wikipedia (flowchart).jpg of charts in JPEG format. JPEG is strongly discouraged for any type of chart, and it'd be great if I could get you to re-upload them in SVG format (one of OmniGraffle's options is to save as SVG). Alternatively you could e-mail me the OmniGraffle source files at dc@moonflare.com and I can upload the SVG files. This will facilitate derivative works and high-resolution reproductions. Thank you! Hi Dcoetzee, thanks for the feedback! How's this? File:Deletion_process_on_English_Wikipedia_(flowchart).svg? (However, I don't think that the SVG completely replaces the JPEG in this case. Maybe the PNG would work better?) I'd suggest linking to Commons:File_types from the FAQ -- it wasn't obvious what file format to choose when I was thinking about it. Definitely I would love to see improvements of all sorts to this image! Jodi.a.schneider (talk)
Hmm I see, Omnigraffle doesn't reproduce the fill effects in the SVG version. If you could upload a high res PNG version as well that would be great - due to current limitations on PNG thumbnailing, the image won't show up unless the resolution is 3811 x 3279 or lower (which is 12.5 megapixels). If you can upload a PNG I'll replace the JPEG with that one. Thanks again! Dcoetzee (talk) 18:31, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

File:Deletion process on English Wikipedia (flowchart).*[edit]

In both versions of this file there seems to be a logic error: the conditional/decision "Should the article be considered for deletion under another process?" only has an outward flow for "No", with "Yes" being (unintentionally?) omitted. -- 208.81.184.4 17:25, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is a "Yes" outflow (to "Controversial?"), it's at the left corner. Omnigraffle does some weird "snap to grid" things and I haven't been able to figure out how to improve the positioning. Thanks for the comment! Jodi.a.schneider (talk) 20:57, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
