File:1950s peter pan collar blouse and full skirt combo.jpg has been listed at Commons:Deletion requests so that the community can discuss whether it should be kept or not. We would appreciate it if you could go to voice your opinion about this at its entry.

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.

Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Autopatrol given

Hello. I just wanted to let you know that I have granted autopatrol rights to your account; the reason for this is that I believe you are sufficiently trustworthy and experienced to have your contributions automatically marked as "reviewed". This has no effect on your editing, it is simply intended to make it easier for users that are monitoring Recent changes or Recent uploads to find unproductive edits amidst the productive ones like yours. In addition, the Flickr upload feature and an increased number of batch-uploads in UploadWizard, uploading of freely licensed MP3 files, overwriting files uploaded by others and an increased limit for page renames per minute are now available to you. Thank you. Jianhui67 talkcontribs 05:54, 16 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi, Jarould, according to this statement: gracias por el aporte pero ese no es el edificio del Rosales, ver http://www.diarioleosv.com.sv/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/rosales.jpg, the file should be renamed and the description adapted. Since you were the uploader, your help would be highly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Lotje (talk) 04:09, 10 April 2016 (UTC)

Embedded colourspace issues

Hello. Regarding File:Become a nurse.jpg. The file you have been uploading uses an unusual embedded colourspace called "Latitude". This means that some browsers will display it with the wrong colours. Per COM:Image_guidelines#Color_space, sRGB is a the preferred embedded colourspace to use on commons. This is why I converted it and re-uploaded. Hohum (talk) 17:03, 25 November 2016 (UTC)

Your VFC installation method is deprecated

Hello Jarould, we are aware that using the old installation method of VFC (via common.js, which you are using) may not work reliably anymore and can break other scripts as well. A detailed explanation can be found here. Important: To prevent problems please remove the old VFC installation code from your common.js and instead enable the VFC gadget in your preferences. Thanks! --VFC devs (q) 16:23, 22 May 2017 (UTC)

When categorising files, please avoid placing them into several categories that are directly linked within the same tree (e.g. a parent category and a child category – like Category:United Kingdom and Category:London), to prevent over-categorization of files and over-population of categories. Usually, only the most specific category should be used. See Commons:Categories for more details. Thank you.

Categorization of Panoramio files

Hi, please note that the files from Panoramio come with geocoordinates. This means that the locality can be identified very easily and very exactly by clicking onto one of the links that show the coordinates. The "Commons on OSM" link will even show you more photographs taken nearby. Also, these photos were added to categories "by panoramio ID", which also allows us to find pictures taken by the same photographer in the same location. So, if somebody wants to categorize images from a certain location, he has many options. This means that it's pretty useless to move Panoramio photos to intermediate/top-level categories like "Germany" or "Baden-Württemberg". They will still need to be categorized further with the means I mentioned above, and the top-level category will have to be removed again. So, in most cases, moving files to these top-level cats is nothing but a waste of time – not just your time, but other people's time as well. Regards, --Sitacuisses (talk) 21:43, 25 July 2017 (UTC)

Renaming

Hello! Just a question. You renamed File:St.-Paulus-Dom Münster - Bischofsgruft.JPG to harmonize the name within a set. A set is not a category, please which set do you mean? It's just for my information to handle filenames in the future. --XRay talk 12:01, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

@XRay: Hello. Before I proceeded with the renamed, I observed the category to which the file belonged and I saw that the requester (PicturePrince) uploaded a set with quite similar names and that only varied the year of the capture. I suppose that the requester's intention was to disambiguate that only file by adding extra information to the title, because now it belonged to a new set (e. g., if File:White dog.jpg and File:White dog (2017).jpg, then File:File:White dog (2013).jpg). Maybe after another set appears as File:St.-Paulus-Dom Münster - Bischofsgruft (20XX) zz.jpg, and then the renamed one would have been necessary. Jarould [talk] 17:08, 26 July 2017 (UTC)
Thanks for your information. --XRay talk 17:13, 26 July 2017 (UTC)

Group rename

How can I request a group rename?

Everything should be moved one down like File:MDKQ_anim1.svg moved to File:MDKQ_anim0.svg
Thanks

Stamps of Iceland

Are you going to add copyright details to this edit? What details do you have, otherwise it is not much use to readers. Ww2censor (talk) 22:20, 3 August 2017 (UTC)

@Ww2censor: There are several empty sections that do not have text either, like Bulgaria or Mexico. Nor they have those "much use to readers"? Jarould [talk] 22:28, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
You are correct that other empty sections are of little use either. I hope you don't mind me asking but I thought that, as you provided a category link to another page, I would find some information there or that you had some copyright information to share to add later but I did not see anything useful on the linked page. It's true I see little point in adding more empty sections when so few have been filled in recently but I suppose we could have all 196 or however many actual stamp issuing countries, there are/have been. I also see that some of those blank section also link to categories too. If you have copyright information maybe you can help filling in some of the missing countries. Thanks Ww2censor (talk) 22:39, 3 August 2017 (UTC)
