Thank you very much for both your comments about my uploading the photographs and your explantion of the Latin. Latin is not a language I've ever studied and so I was reliant on online translators (not renowned for their accuracy!), although I'm a little suprised that none was able to offer any attempt at a translation for "ticket". re Readarun/Readarum. I'll re-upload it this evening with the correct title - I don't even have the excuse of machine translators for this its simply a case of not reading what was in the picture. doh! I'll fix that this evening. I think it was Intertran that I used to do the translations. I remember having some fun with machine translators a few years back, translating an English phrase to another language and back (or sometimes via a third language!). Some of the best ones that I can remeber of the top of my head are "engineering building" -> "Construction that constructs", "download" -> "transfers from the central system towards the satelites", "log on" -> "ignition" and "root" -> "radish". Unfortunately for you, no I don't believe there is an official Latin name for the station. The station is a low-key one - basically just two platforms on an embankment adjacent to a bridge over a road. I don't recall any Latin names on signs at street level, and all the station name signs on the platform simply say Wallsend. The one place that there might be anything like a name for the station in Latin as actually at Segedunum. I do intend to go back there and get some digital photos next time I'm in the area, but having seen my grandparents (who live in Tynemouth and are the main reason I visit the area) down here (Somerset) over Christmas, its likely to be a few months before I get back up there. I have nothing to say about this: I just tagged the file and had nothing to do with the (blazing fast) actual deletion, so please leave your complaints to the deleter.
