Thank you too. Now after I see it as a thumbnail I think I maybe overcorrected the white balance. Two light sources with completely different colour temperatures are a pain in the neck. Hi Ikiwaner,

danke für Deine Kritik auf QIC - mit der Kritik am Schatten kann ich leben (obwohl ich ihn persönlich noch gerade so nicht störend finde, aber das ist natürlich auch Geschmackssache ...), nur das mit dem "artificially cut background" kann ich nicht so ganz nachvollziehen - der Hintergrund war weiss (ein wenig heller als 255,255,255), wieso sollte man ihn da nicht wegschneiden?

Hallo Alexander, gute Frage, resp. meine Begründung war zu wenig gut. Das will ich nachholen. Genau genommen stört mich die Kombination aus Freisteller und trotzdem vorhandenem Schatten. Das wirkt unnatürlich, denn Schattenwurf kann es nur geben, wo auch Boden ist. Obschon ich Freistellern generell kritisch gegenüberstehe, hätte ich einen richtigen Freisteller (Brot auf Milchglasplatte, von unten beleuchtet) sicher besser bewertet. Denn wenn alle Schatten fehlen, sucht mein Auge keinen Boden mehr. Viel Spass im Studio! --Ikiwaner (talk) 11:20, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

HDR

Most of my HDR images who don't look photoshopped were created with photoshop! There I use different techniques depending on the image. A good thing to start with ist to reduce layer opacity for all effects so the image looks natural. Die Entscheidung kann ich dir nicht abnehmen, aber vielleicht kennst du einen anderen fleissigen „Commons-Fotografen“, der es ähnlich sieht wie du. Ich sehe nur gerade, dass in Category:License migration opt-out momentan schon 14'000 Bilder drin sind. --Leyo 18:45, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Jetzt sehe ich gerade, dass der oben zitierte Absatz in der deutschen Wikipedia schon angewendet wird: opt out führt dazu, dass die betreffenden Bilder im de-wiki (und einer nicht recherchierten Anzahl anderer) entlinkt werden. A little unclear

Hi Ikiwaner Not quite clear regarding your current position on use of your photos. I am hoping to use your Melchsee cow for a video project to illustrate a piece of music of mine (non-Commercial, just for YouTube) - is that OK with a simple credit in the description? Hi Dwsolo and thanks for your interest in my pictures. The pictures are currently being relicensed. However I do not really care about non commercial use. Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]

[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Farbprofil

Guten Abend! Es freut mich, dass dir meine Bilder gefallen. Wenn ich ehrlich bin, kenne ich mich mit den einzelnen Farbprofilen nicht so genau aus. Von daher habe ich das Nikon sRGB Profil ohne Hintergedanken ausgewählt. Was sind denn die Unterschiede zwischen den Profilen? Und ist das Nikon Profil schlechter als die anderen? Ich hab mich mal schlau gemacht und das Profil mit Exiftool extrahiert und mit ICCView mit sRGB IEC61966-2.1 verglichen. Es gibt praktisch keinen Unterschied. Wichtig ist, dass ein Profil eingebunden ist. Ich verwende sRGB IEC als Arbeitsfarbraum bei normalen Bildern und Adobe RGB bei Bildern mit sehr satten Farben.
