Hello, Hisagi!
Tip: Add categories to your files
Tip: Add categories to your files

Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.

Here's how:

1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:

2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.

[[Category:Category name]]

For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:

[[Category:Astronomical diagrams]]
[[Category:Comets]]

This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".

When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").

Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.

HASHIMA ISLAND MAP[edit]

Hello Hisagi!
I'm Enryonthecloud from Italy.
I'm writing because I saw you sharp map of Hashima island (a real good job!) and I would like to know better the single characteristics of it.
Could you please translate in English the single Japanese voices on that map?
I'm very interested to know better the history of this curious island
and know, for example, if there was a railway from the coal mine plant to the seaport. Is it that the red line on the map?
Thank you for your attention and I hope to receive some news from you.
You'll find my Wikipedia account on English version [1], or on Italian version [2].
If you prefer, you can write me on my personal e-mail account: enrico.cabianca@gmail.com.
Best regards.
Dōmo arigatō どうもありがとう.

Hokuriku-Shinkansen Map[edit]

Hi Hisagi, the map of the Hokuriku-Shinkansen needs updating soon (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Hokuriku_Shinkansen_map.png). Any chance you could upload a SVG file of the map so that we can help you keep it up to date?

Thanks! Best wishes, --Nobi-nobita (talk) 20:37, 31 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

File:Chūō Shinkansen map ja.png[edit]

Hello User:Hisagi

as far as I know, the Hashimoto Station (橋本駅) in this picture has changed to Sagamihara Station (相模原駅), and it's sure now that the station for Nagano Prefecture will be set in Iida (飯田). Is it OK for you to change them? (I don't know how to)

Thank you, with best regards --Howard61313talk) 19 October, 2014 (Sun) 13:46 (UTC)

Tokyo metro history map[edit]

Hello Hisagi,

i am a student from germany and for a course in railway infrastructure we have to write an assay about the railway infrastructure in Tokyo. Could you please tell me where you got the dates of completions of the subways from when you created this image (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Tokyo_metro_history_map.gif)?

I have found enough citable sources for the time period from the end of the 19th century until the end of world war two, but we have yet to find decent citable sources covering the extension of Tokyo's subways from 1955 until today. If you could tell us the source of your information it would be very kind.

Fabimaru

Translation into Korean[edit]

Hi Hisagi, Can I translate your railway maps including The Shinkansen Map into Korean version? Sorry for my English, Thanks. --밥풀떼기 (talk) 10:55, 25 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hisagi,
Thank you for your contributions to Commons. I noticed File:Tokyo metro map en.png is out of date. Hibiya Line no longer operates through services with Tōkyū Tōyoko Line. Could you update it? Thanks again. Painjet (talk) 09:50, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
